@@Jovinado yea but its not self-explanatory in today's time. I've seen so many trailers, especially for movies but also games, that pretty much gave you an idea on how the story would unfold. I also appreciate that the TLOU trailers don't give away to much about the story but still make you invested into the game

The juke out for the one tlou 2 trailer is insane, the one where it skips to Joel saying "you think I'd let you do this on your own?" It's so evil considering what his fate actually was in the game

An hour and 12 minutes of TLoU trailers is insane

It's so interesting to look back and see how much Naughty Dog's trailers have changed. For much of the first game, the trailers are basically dev footage, but by the time we get to TLoU Remastered, they have a lot more pizazz and flash to them.

i wish they kept those unique voice lines from the trailer for the last of us 1

@@meatcan Joel was going to be killed from the get-go. The main differences that changed from the original vision was how it was all going to play out. Dina was an obvious red herring the whole time. They didn't 'change things for emotional impact' or anything, the idea of TLOU2 started off strong. It was either something as grand as killing off Joel, or just no sequel at all.

Can't say this enough, L.O.U is easily one of the best games ever made. So much raw emotion, great game play/graphics, sound/soundtrack really everything about it is so great!

idk how or why everyone thought Abby in the trailer at 26:09 was gonna be Ellie's mom, like genuinely if someone could please explain why people thought that. I remember I didn't even think of who she was, just that they were showing another person's story, which they did. I just thought "Ooh hot buff lady" and was an Abby simp from the start apparently lmao

*Spoilers Ahead* Well, because of many points, 1. First, because the trailer came out before the series, so we didn't know already how Ellie was immune (thanks to the series for that). 2. Then, we see Abby getting dragged by the cult, pointing their knives into her belly, we already felt that it was a religious and a spiritual matter (cut her wings), and we thought they knew she was pregnant with someone special, and we know the only special person in the game is Ellie, so she must be her mom. 3. The atmosphere also, how Lev was dressed, we felt like the scene happened years before the event of TLOU1, so the timing was more in favor of Abby being Ellie's mom. 4. She was strong, Ellie has a strong spirit also, there is this link too. 5. They never said at the time how Ellie was immune, so everyone thought that TLOU2 will answer that question, so it should probably start with Ellie's birth, which means her mother getting pregnant. 6. Abby's father was killed like just a regular NPC, no one could have thought that the second game will be a revenge story, it's like someone you killed at some point in the game, his family will come around seeking for revenge, it just doesn't make any sense. So as you can see, at the time, it made a lot of sense to thought Abby was Ellie's mother.

​Another reason you could add on why ppl thought Ellie's mom was somehow involved in tlou2 was an easter egg in uncharted 4 (if I remember correctly). In that game you would come accross a last of us poster that clearly showed a pregnant woman, seemingly going about in the tlou world by herself. With the Abby trailer and the emphasis on her stomach in it, we thought we had connected the dots 😂😅

I really really like The Last Of Us Part 2, but I played the games like halfway into the pandemic and didn’t watch any trailers for them. Now looking back at these ones for Part II, it really sucks they falsely advertised like that. I get why they did it and people would be mad anyways if they were honest, but they probably made a lot more people mad unnecessarily because of it

Funny how Joel could ORIGINALLY dodge and weave in the gameplay reveal... yet, in the remake for part 1, they STILL didn't incorporate that. The mechanics were so stale in the first game... yet the remake for the first one (part 1) was no better nor improved aside from graphics, HUD, and settings. Skins, too I guess... but you get what I'm saying. The mechanics continued to suck

I enjoyed part 1 so much when it released in 2013 I purchased the remastered version the following year. As for part 2 in 2020 44:50 the fact that we as gamers were lied too by naughty dog and lost all respect as a game developer.

@@kurt2552 Turns out the creators intentionally wanted people to believe that as well, after seeing the Documentary on it all.

Watching all these trailers in order was a treat. About 90% of them I had never seen before: 1) because I don't watch much television, but also 2) I purposefully ignored all the trailers, any on-line discussions, and especially the leaks. I first played Part 1 in 2015, Remastered for the PS4. Previous to this, I had only played sports games: NCAA College Football, Madden, FIFA, etc. Suffice it to say, Part 1 hit me like a semi and I was not emotionally prepared for the weight of this narrative. I have since played Part 1, Left Behind, and Part 2 more times than I can count and on every difficulty level. Naughty Dog is the absolute GOAT. ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍
