Fr, I wish Nintendo would make an option to find levels regardless of boos in MM3 bc I’d rather play MM1 hot garbo than generic “hold right everything is indicated 20s speedrun” from one of the same 5 people

I remember the Super Expert runs, and also blindfolded Easy runs, they were so ridiculously fun to watch back then! Thank you for the great times, Carl!

The blindfolded easy runs were my favorite by far. Wish he did a lot more of it Wonder if he'll ever do it on SMM2 (on endless, I know he has done it on other levels in SMM2)...

5:05 XKCD introduced me to the idea of nerd-sniping, now here you are nerd-swiping.

The real hot garbage was the fact that they put Mario maker on the 3DS, took away the ability to upload levels on it and they made it so you could only search by recommendations instead of with level codes. I still think the game would totally fit the system but they failed so bad. Yet it’s still a decent 3DS game (only because their developer levels with cool custom challenges was actually fun) and for me it was my first look at Mario Maker before I got the wii u version. This has been your random reminder that Mario maker was on 3ds too.

Sad that the one of my most favourite game shutdown before i get a chance to play it. I've been following Mario Maker contents around 2016-2017 and it brings happiness everyday. Now i can only watch back old MM1 videos knowing that i will never had a chance to played those levels ever again 😢 Also why aren't you stealing from the ruins

Mario Maker 1's Garbage will be missed. Good Levels? Mario Maker 2 has plenty of those. But Mario Maker 1 had a special style of garbage that resulted of wild experimentation with a new tool. That cannot be replicated anymore.

I miss being able to open random levels in the editor

Loved seeing you come back to this, I remember making just the absolute worst garbage on Mario Maker 1, dev exits were so common back then!

Watching Carl's MM1 content, he cursed A LOTTTT and was much angrier than he is now. I like that playing one final run of MM1 Super Expert hot garbage brought that right back out of him lmao

This was such a special stream. So many people from the community were there, the walk down memory lane as Carl downloaded some of the game's best level, the Super Expert runs giving us the experience of the glory days of hot garbage one last time, the final SMM Uno Mas as the server lingered in Carl's Wii U's memory, and ending with a Poo Stomp. Truly a "you just had to be there" moment. Thanks Carl; looking forward to when you steal from ruins again! (because we all know you've already beaten it once!)

Truly end of an era. Smm (1 and 2) are propably my most watched game on yt to this day and remain my comfort games of choice. Hopefully we get smm3 so that the future players will have an accessible platform for their creation, be it inspired by dreams or nightmares

I remember watching the video of you crashing MM1 and returning to the WiiU home Screen when it first released. MM1 will always be entertaining as it introduced me to your amazing content.

I have watched you since the Mecha Bowser video, and haven't skipped a single Mario Maker video. In fact, i think in 2017 and 2018 I rewatched the whole channel two times. I was obsessed with Mario Maker. I remember very clearly how I used to watch Jakuu, Juz, Ryukhar, Tanuki Dan, Freak and Geek, ZetaSsjZ and GrandPooBear, and even the Super Beard Bros series on the game. I watched so much Super Mario Maker, there was nothing like it! When MM2 came out... I don't know, it wasn't the same. I just kept looking you and Geek. Nodaways I watch you, Nastodon, and very ocassionally GDR. Watching this video reminds me a lot of all the time the has happened. It's crazy how almost every major milestone in my life has been accompanied by my watching Mario Maker in the back, specially watching you! Thank you for still being amazing, Carl!!!!

I think you are supposed to enter the door just as the p switch ends that way the launcher spawns in the blocks and is pushed out.

I need help! There was a troll level Carl played and I want to watch the video again. It was an underwater hard/troll level with an absolute hell of an anti - except that the anti was a twice twice. There was an identical anti at the end and the goal post was at the end of it. I don't remember the video and I really want to watch it again.
