For anyone confused about the ending of that first level, it's not the bottom of the flagpole but just a random non-solid block. The creator put ground to make it look like the castle is one block lower.

Reminds me of my most popular Super Mario Maker World Engine level: Super Easy Maker World Engine. Hacked the level file so the flagpole is right at the start so you literally cannot die. Had to use the same trick to get rid of the flagpole block.

4:29 Carl helped build this level, and play tested it. But after he went to sleep, his team mates snuck a few trolls like this Skip Squeak to catch his reacc in front of a live audience.

The best "Clawlick yoshi" glitch is when he eats a zappa-mechakoopa, and he shoots lasers at mario. lol.

Flagpole clip lets you save a framerule or something like that, and that's what the first level's description is referring to, because someone described framerules like buses or something. Was it Summoning Salt in his WR progression for SMB1?

I used to be a fiend at making Uno Mas lvls, I got like a few thousand views, my best one was Surfs Up 2, very good times!

The fact that Nintendo is a multi-billion-dollar company with one of the best track records in video game history and they can't put a slope in a Mario game without introducing a bunch of glitches should make any indie developers in the audience a lot less self-conscious about what they're able to do by themselves.

The clear pipe trick was bh placing another opening inside of the other clear pipe with 2 openings. If you look closely you can see the other opening

64th comment! I think the end goal for that first level was lowered by 1 block and had a layer of land put on top of it, with a regular breakable block set there at the bottom.

I’m so sad.. recently my switch broke so I got it fixed but the ppl who fixed it for some reason hardware reset it so I lost my smm2 account. I had a lot of insanely well made levels, none on the most popular list but a lot should have imo, I made a few Zelda ocarina of time levels(ocarina of time[deku tree],gorons cave) etc. and I even made Pokémon levels and all was lost to a reset.. if anyone knows how to recover a smm2 account PLS TELL ME!!!!!
