And he’d done exactly the same with the previous two deliveries, wandering off down the pitch before the ball was dead, so Carey knew what he was going to do. True, perhaps Australia should have given him a warning, but Bairstow should know the rules. Particularly because he himself has been involved in at least two dodgy stumpings in his career as a keeper. He was out, and was behaving worse than a village cricketer. And I’m English.

Also, that's not how you spell 'threw'. Not even in Australia. & he threw the bloody thing AS he was leaving the crease. The wickets went when he was out of the crease. Now, shoosh.

"F--- my dog" is absolutely something I'd say. Because if anyone objects, i can snarl back with "Relax. I don't own a dog." That or label my garbage disposal with a label that just says "Dog".

But "fuck my dog" is so much more Australian, as well as personal - "my dog" vs the more generic "the pooch". TBF I always thought the Pooch phrase was USAnian rather than a Maple Leaf Special.
