Wow what an event ! What a day this race was, this was going to be such a special day for so many reason for me. It was my first Ultra marathon, only my second time reaching Marathon distance, Raising money for Nottingham Hospitals charity, running in memory of a dear muddy mate we lost at the start of September very suddenly and the first time i've been to Edinburgh!
As is typical in Scotland it was a very wet day haha, but that didn't dampen spirits. I've never seen such thick mystical fog like this it truly was a magical day !
The race had to be tweaked slightly due to road works around the city so ended up being close to 34 miles once finished. My watch died at mile 31 so I was running blind and naked from then haha.
