Sir Barry Gibb, his brothers and his family are such beautiful people. Barry is such a sincere, caring, loving gentleman, that I hope his character traits are infectious to all of those who check him out God bless him may his brothers rest in peace

When I began to get more into rock in the late seventies, I started to make fun of The Bee Gees....but as I've gotten older, I have learned to appreciate and enjoy nearly all types of music...including Bee gees....and respect their talent and place in music history....and even to respect my memories of experiences with their music....before SNF and beyond! I would love to meet Barry and just give him a hug!

Thank you for reacting to this video. I have seen it many times but it always moves me to tears. There’s no ones else that can compare to the talented Bee Gees. Their harmonies are on a level all their own. Their prolific songwriting stands on its own merits, with their beautiful songs of love. They were simply just humble good human beings with a wonderful sense of humor. ❤❤❤❤

Only those of us who knows how it feels to lose someone they truly love can actually relate to this, but if you multiply it by 4, I couldn't even begin to imagine the feeling. My heartfelt wish that he can find happiness in his life, despite what he's going through. The 3 of them were actually sitting in front of me in an Elton John concert in downtown Miami back in the 80's. A few people noticed, but no one bothered them, as it was their turn to just sit back and enjoy an evening of great music. I was so proud that they chose Miami to live in, they brought pure magic to the area! Thanks for the vid, 1st time seeing it.

Im just about the biggest beegee fan out here 45 yrs and counting robin had the most beautiful voice ive ever heard and the 3 brothers made magic together they were all creative geniuses im so glad their music will live on for future generations too enjoy i feel for barry he's the oldest and he's the last of his brothers, I'm really glad that his wife talked to him to performing again. And with his niece and nephew's helping. I know that mo& robin are smiling down from heaven proud of them, I know that barry is hard on himself. Because his brothers and him were not very close. They loved and respected each other but they just couldn't get along. Unless they were writing, producing& creating or performing their music. I think it's because all of them were so creative, And barry & robin both wianting to be lead singer and the spotlight, When Robin left for a short time when they were young, he did end up coming back..because as they learned, they shined the brightest when they were together. They did have a unique relationship, but they always loved& respected each other. Even if they did spend a lot of time Not getting along. In their regular, everyday lives. They were there for each other. When it mattered and I guess that's the most important thing with any family., They're legacy, will live on forever and I as a big fan. Will forever, be grateful for that.

I've watched this a few times and it's always sad. I think some or most of us have lost someone or multiple people in our lives and it never gets easier with each passing. When you're younger, you're told that time heals all wounds, and for the most part it does, but it's not hard to throw yourself back into certain situations or relive important moments of your life and to feel it all over again. The fact Barry was doing this interview shortly after his brother passing tells you a lot about the kind of person he is, strong, courageous and willing to put himself out there. Good reaction, keep it up, your transparency is what will earn and maintain subscribers. Take care of yourself.

Thanks for your heartfelt reaction, Starr! First, I'll let you know, that I've lived in the state of Massachusetts for all of my 71 years, except about three. Sadly, the state never made the Bee Gees song its official song. I've been a fan since their first hit in 1967. (As a teenager, I was envious of Barry's great head of hair.) After seeing your review I put on a CD called 'Best of Bee Gees' that I've had for decades, but not listened to in a couple years. It's basically all their earliest hits which has always generally included my favorite songs by them. Some of these songs are Holiday, I've Gotta Get A Message To You, I Can't See Nobody, Words, I Started A Joke, First Of May, World, To Love Somebody and their first hit, New York Mining Disaster 1941. I think you'd enjoy these so you might check them out on your own time. Even at that point they had such great harmonizing and melodies. Thanks, again!

About the fifth, sixth time I've watch this all the way through. It's hard not to feed so sad. I have four sisters and a brother, and like Barry, I am second oldest of my sibs. We have always been very close. Of course, we have had our estrangements, but we always made it up.... So growing up-- Barry with his band of brothers and sister Leslie, I can definitely relate. I've lost two sisters. You never truly get over it. Barry has his loving Linda and five children, eight grandkids-- he stays grounded and draws great comfort in family.

Barry is the oldest of the brothers, not second. My younger sister and I lost our youngest sister in '82, and now our parents, aunt and uncles, are all gone. Now we're losing cousins. She says she doesn't want me to die, because she doesn't want to be alone. While I am married, we don't have kids. She has a partner, two kids, one grandchild and another on the way. Sometimes, I kind of want to thump her forehead and say, 'Are you listening to what you're saying?'!!!!!!! 😜

  • @AlamoDame7

@@fridaylong2812 I said "sibs" not "brothers"-- Barry has an older sister Lesley, as I have an older sib Magdalena. So I was not wrong.
