I am positively surprised that you laughed throughout the whole thing! I did too 😂😂😂 this sitcom was meant to make fun of stereotypes that Poland is viewed by. One of them is racism and there's a slight touch of 'misogyny' (which seemed to unite all gentlemen against Kasia - the blonde - for a second). When it comes to the translation, there are some inconsistencies. Truly, due to the bright remarks that are part of the Polish culture. Which makes them hard to translate. Some other mistakes that changed the intended meaning. But you gotta love the translator for their desire to share this sitcom with the world. Nowadays, this TV show would be slammed badly with comparison to the 90s where it was very popular and succesful. Greetings from Poland 🇵🇱❤

"I don't know for what purpose this war was fought" To simplify it, after WWI, Germany ended up with a huge debt, paying reparations to all the countries they invaded. This ended up lowering the standards of living for many Germans, which naturally created unrest among the people. A single soldier, who used to fight during WWI, came to a conclusion that both the Germany losing, and the living standards falling, are the result of an international conspiracy between Soviet and American Jews - and that the solution to that was to make Germany completely self-sufficient. After he became the chancellor in 1933, he took on _MASSIVE_ debts, in order to "Save Germany"... Debts which he couldn't pay, because the financial policies he introduced were completely unsustainable. He had to pay for his state apparatus... But he didn't have the money. So what does he do? He decides to steal from other countries, by starting a holy war against the global conspiracy, aiming to destroy the last remaining "pure" European country: Germany. As for the other side... During WWI, Germany finds an ideologue, which promotes the idea of social revolution against the "evil" of capitalism. They decide that he's a perfect tool to destabilize the Tsarist Russia - and by doing that, shortening the war. They send him to the East, where he begins to spread his ideology, which quickly catches on among the not very well-educated, poor, starving masses, tired of the war and living under the Russian aristocracy's boot. Driven by hate towards their rulers, they take over the country, mur....ing every representative of the old regime, and introducing their new, glorious, "fair" system, based on state-mandated compassion. Which means, either you are compassionate and give away your stuff to the state, or the state gives you a permanent residence, 6 feet under, and takes your stuff on their own. But there's a problem. All the specialists who are capable of producing valuable stuff, they either run away, or start explaining to people that this new system can never work long-term... The unwanted elements are quickly disposed of, but sooner or later, people might want to change the way the system is operated, if they see how other countries are being run... The solution? _Remove the alternative._ Push westward! Let the entire world burn in the fires of the workers' revolution, bringing in the fair and _just_ totalitarianism (led by us)! After all, people won't be able to run away from our country, if there's nowhere to run _to._ But there's only one issue... 1918 comes, and a pesky country gets created in the middle of Europe, blocking us from our march towards the glorious utopia! They try to destroy it, but drunk on their newly regained freedom, the people of Poland are relentless in their defence, stopping the Soviet advance. They force the enemy to retreat back to Russia, to lick their wounds - and among them is a certain officer, absolutely p...sed that they failed to destroy this obstacle, standing in their way. Years later, that officer becomes the Chief Secretary of the Central Committee... A dictator of the USSR. So 1939 comes, and everything points to the fact that a war is about to start. Of course, the global revolution is still on the menu, but that annoying country that stands in Russia's way, has way too many treaties with other countries... But the question is, will their allies _actually_ move in to defend them?

Все же как интересно построено это видео - СССР и Китай были такими негуманными к своему населению, прям жуть. Остальные почему-то других не желели, а эти своих. Какие-то байки про советскую армию постоянно рассказывают - молодцы. Чем - то попахивает...

I'm always annoyed by passers-by who don't give a damn about an ambulance or other emergency vehicle and cross the pedestrian crossing because they have green lights. Seriously, nothing will happen to them if they wait a while, and that moment during which they block the path of the ambulance may affect someone's life.

Why not check up my Swedish hometown since 66 years. Sundsvall is seated in a bay in the baltic sea between two mountains. The north and the south city maountains. Sundsvall was founded the same year as Gothenburg (1621) and most of the houses were built of wood. Since there are big forrests all around. But in 1889 most of the town was destryed in a gigantic fire. After that "Stenstaden" (The Stoen City) was built to make it safer to live in. And broad street were also buit to protect the town from more fire. This is a drone movie and sadly no speaker´s voice to tell you more. But I´m sure there are other videos to look att if you are interested . Link below. kzread.info/dash/bejne/oIlqmK2mZMjPm9o.html

So what? Do you believe wars are paid for by charity and cost nothing? Do you stupidly expect OTHER PEOPLE (i.e the UK taxpayer) to pay for the Polish part of the war effort to topple the murderous nazi regime and remove its evil from POLISH SOIL? When YOU go out for a night out, do you expect your friends to pay for your food and drinks? Seeing as you like "fun facts" here are a few more for you to enjoy.... Polish "honour" meant that when it was graciously allowed to set up its exiled government in London in June 1940 it signed various agreements with the British government, one of which was to pay for all the goods and services it received from Britain, the exiled Polish government preferring to be an "independent national force" rather than a ragged bunch of itinerant mercenaries. For its own part, Britain had by 1942 handed ALL 1,400 TONS of its OWN pre-war gold reserve over to the US government to pay for the arms and equipment it was using to continue the fight against the conquerors of YOUR country. Once all that gold had been spent, we then handed over ALL of our own cutting edge British scientific research to the US as well as global basing rights on empire territory to the US armed forces, and then when all that had been accounted for, we ran the British part of the war effort and indeed our whole UK economy on US Loans. Not "GIFTS"... but "LOANS" that needed repaying. We only finished repaying the tens of BILLIONS of pounds worth of debt to the US in 2006. As a result of this unforeseen ruinous expenditure we could no longer afford to maintain our own empire, which hastened the collapse of both the British Empire & the entire UK economy after WW2. By the end of WW2 Great Britain had been transformed from the world's richest nation in 1900 to the world's largest debtor in 1945. What you also will have utterly no awareness of is that the majority of Polish war debt was written off by the UK as it was clear that there was no way that the postwar Polish communist regime were ever going to pay the rest of it back. And then clueless commenters like yourself complain about having to pay a pittance for YOUR part in freeing YOUR country from nazi death camps & tyranny. You should have let us know in 1939 that you were going to beat the nazis alone, then we could have left you to it, and saved ourselves all our OWN gold reserve, 460,000 British lives and our empire. Now please go and burn the communist schoolbooks your country was forced to "learn" from between 1945 and 1990.

Okay, I admit, I don't have a whole lot of respect for George Bush, he's kinda derpy, but I have to give that man credit. There he was, sitting in the middle of an elementary school class, there to read to them that day when he got word. In the middle of an elementary school classroom, full of kids all of them about 8, 9, 10 years old. And he had the most stoic expression. Like he wanted to get up and start going off about it, but he knew he couldn't, because he was in a room full of children. He handled that news like a grandmaster.
