The Largest UNICORN Buck In The World!

Ойын-сауық

This is the largest unicorn buck in the world.
In the spring of 2015, Dave Kopp found these sheds on his father-in-law’s 46-acre Ohio farm. So he asked his father-in-law to hunt the following fall, only to be told no. The months passed and in September he showed his father-in-law this rub that he found on the farm and asked to hunt again, only to be told no again.
A week later this happened. “and then it was about a week later and I. I called the email of all emails. In the email. He said, Dave, if you hunt only that buck, no, doe just that big one. You can hunt out here. So I was. Ecstatic.” Dave hunted hard the entire season, passing on several bucks that most people wouldn’t have thought twice about shooting. The rut had come and gone, and Dave began to think that the big buck wasn’t around anymore.
In late January 2016 though, Dave got the email that changed everything. His father-in-law had sent him a picture of this giant, and he was in awe of the size and amount of points that this deer had. All the email said was, Dave, I think this is the big one. It wasn’t until February 1st that the wind was right for his ground blind, so Dave had his father-in-law drop him off in the side by side so as to not run the risk of spooking the buck by walking in.
A couple of hours later, the buck was standing 20 yards away from the blind, and Dave took the shot. The buck ended up scoring a whopping 267 3/8” with 31 scrabble points, including this unicorn point coming straight out of the skull, making it the largest unicorn buck in the world.
Check out the full story on the buck by clicking the link pinned in the comments!

That property is full of his genetics, my buddies mom was renting a property that had amazing genetics and out here in the West we have Blacktail bucks a lot of them will be nocturnal besides a 4 day late buck season and more bucks are killed in those 4 days then the whole 2 1/2 week season! We seen every deer on that property and we had photos of a nice big old buck about 160inch buck which is a monster for a true blacktail, I ended up taking the buck in the 4 day late buck season. The next year we were hoping that there was going to be some buck babies, out here unless you're an archery hunter we don't shoot does, the predators, bad winters, do damage on the deer population especially the predators we have massive deer populations near houses and towns but this area was pretty far in the hills. There was about 6 baby deer 5 of them were does and one was a buck, he was a nice spike. We had random small bucks coming into the area after the does and then they were gone we have certain marks we look for to name the deer and keep track of the deer that were the big boys offspring. The 5 does 4 made it to adult hood and the spike was gone, we kept track of those does of his and 2 springs after the big boy was harvested 2 of the 4 does had 2 buck babies each, to our surprise they all made it, we have tall stickers and an old abandon barn that had sticker bushes 12 feet high in a circle very few trails in and out but those deer were literally going into the bottom of this old barn and they would all bed down in there, we made it to where the deer weren't afraid of us making it our own private hunting and we did predator hunting and those 4 bucks within 2 years grew up into nice 3×3's a 6 pointer to the guys out East, we didnt harvest any of them, but we did harvest a couple of other bucks that had came in after our does and apple trees and that barn they would stay in for shelter it was hilarous. The 3rd year these 4 bucks turned into some dandy bucks and two of those bucks had the thick wide MASSIVE genetics like their dad so the other 2 may of been another buck, so we harvested the other 2 bucks and let the big boys sons get older, thankfully this area was an area that attracted the deer because these bucks in the rut didnt run off far they were keeping the other bucks away, we let them grow into the 5th year and we harvested the smaller of the 2 bucks and kept the big boy, he ended up being a bit bigger then his dad on the 6th year, he got a triple fork on both sides very rare in Blacktails he ended up being so big and nice we just couldn't kill him we allowed him to live and he was 10 years old when he dissapeard, some rare monster bucks like that will make guys break laws and do crazy things to harvest a big blacktail he was an easy 170 inch toad. His genetics are all over but she moved out of there unfortunately but it was a good run. Excited to habe my own property like this guys set up! Great story and such a rare buck to have a horn go out the center of his skull, I wonder if it just stayed on his head year after year or if it had a base to drop? Intresting. His father in law was just messing with his emotions LOL HAHAHAHA
