I absolutely love the interviews Jake does. Listening with my coffee this morning before I plant the last 200 trees I've got for the farm. What a crazy story.

Been in iowa 25 years & remember this story many years ago like it was yesterday. Never to this depth. Great interview guys!!! Brian- u have tens of thousands++ across the state disgusted when that happened …. All still wishing for a reuniting with your buck. Someday, it’s gonna happen!!!! 🤞. Fantastic interview and they can thankfully never steal those memories of that hunt. Best wishes!

Man. This is one of the wildest stories I've ever heard. I hope somehow he and all of those other people get their deer back. Crazy stuff.

Crazy someone would want a deer that they didn't kill themselves.

It’s very common my friend !!, when I held some of seek ones bucks, I was just friends with there old taxidermist and was asked if I wanted to see while dropping mine off and was lead through two different doors and into a safe and that alone tripped me out but he explained how bad it is her potential record bucks and record book bucks !

Nice interview again Jake. It would be interesting to learn if any of those other heads were found or returned. If not I’d say they are all in one guy’s collection otherwise some of them would have been recovered by now. Hard to believe that someone has gotten away with this after all these years. What a shame, sorry for all the other guys because I’m sure they didn’t get replicas made. At least Brian has something hanging on his wall. Jake I’d suggest a follow up with the authorities in the other cases. Maybe somehow by just keeping the conversation/ story alive will lead to a happy ending for all these guys. Start a reward fund, somebody knows something and just needs a little incentive to come forward. Maybe all just wishful thinking. Again nice interview Jake.

It would be smart with today's tech to put a GPS locator inside the mount. I know this was a while ago but I'd do it if I ever got a special deer like this.

Do you think they can detach each horn and sell each as a shed...something to keep an eye out for, since the thief wouldn't care and only want money and not get caught.

in 2000 I shot a 10 pt buck in ILL .the only boon crocket buck I ever shot. on the last day of bow season. streight down shot no exit wound no blood trail .I could see 10 inches of arrow sticking out of the deer as it ran off .looked 4 two days in the Rong direction .I went home to Massachusetts with no deer .the next year I went to the farm again and got permission again . he told me opening day he found the deer dead on the edge of the field 150 yards from where I shot it.he hung the rack in a tree in the front of his house someone from Michigans or Wisconsin gave him 200 dollars four it . I mite be wrong about the year baby 1999 . I know the name of the town .with computers to day it is possible to find this deer?I don't think that something happens like that often .with the amount of whitetales addict out there you and I might get those rack backs back some day
