​@Scott Freeman *Art* ( _in all of its expressive forms: music, painting, writing etc_ ) is *Subjective* ; what one may consider to be _melodious_ another may find _cacophonous_ . I respect every individuals opinion/choice, and I hope they reciprocate that _respect_ . However ---- this is how I make my "choices" ( _which is very simple_ ) : I imagine a scenario where I am _stranded_ on a desert island, and I have two "choices" when it comes to taking just 1 CD with me, which I will have to listen to over & over until I am rescued. So, IF I had to make such a "choice" ---- then it wouldnt be such a difficult choice for me to make; i'd be taking *The Kills* w/ me on that desert island hands down. ✌ P.S: *Jinjer* are a good band, however --- they are in an entirely different music *genre* ( _Heavy Metal_ ) than *The Kills* who are an Indie-Rock band. Personally speaking --- Ive never been a _fan_ of Metal in any of its forms. The only Metal band I've ever liked are *AC/DC* who are my all time favorite band on earth - like EVER!!! & I worship *Angus Young* because he is GOD. But even AC/DC do not describe themselves as being a _Metal_ band, but a Rock+ Roll band instead. *KEEP ON ROCKIN!* ( _regardless of the style of music you prefer_ ) 🙋

A few years ago my gf and I moved to our new place in the Hollywood Hills, I was driving my gf to her job and we were leaving out of our street. There was this black Dodge Challenger way down like a few blocks on Hollywood blvd, the street I was turning on, so I turn right since I had time to get in. The NEXT thing I know looking into my review mirror, the asshole in the Challenger guns it and speeds up right behind me and I notice it's a woman screaming with her hands up in the air yelling at appears to be me! I look at my gf like what the hell is this person's problem? I no way cut them off, they were like way down two blocks before I turned? And she gunned it and sped up behind me like an asshole! So now I get over a lane to turn left, and she is on the right next to us.. and we are dead crawling in traffic. She is not looking at us, and my gf and I just looking at her and I notice, HOLY SHIT! It's Alison from Dead Weather, The Kills.. my gf's window is down and I just yell in a nice way. "Hey are you ok?? I am sorry you are having a bad day! I love your music and you're fucking awesome!" Alison is not even looking at us, and you can tell now she is embarrassed and has her hand covering her side of her face. The whole rest of the ride to my gf's job, we just laughed and said well that's a start of a weird day huh???

Her stage presence is capturing. This band is a breathe of fresh air.

The first time i saw this vid i stayed stuned and dumbstruck for ' how many minutes is it ? ' ....but now that i'm back for the nth time...i cry and i come and i cry somemore and come backhard....i come and i cry....i cry and i come...doubt not, =yOu.....mAgic was there in the air that day and le*Strombo had lightning.bolts to do about that.....*.....i can back that comment...babe ....MaGiC...the Kills make me wannnna come ....back....to music and dust my guitars.... merci George merci.

I had heard them before but this is the first I have actually seen of them. Amazing...….. fuck everything! The sound is huge while having this hollow like lo-fi meets massive thick tone that is like surf punk perfected. Allison's look, moves, the voice, energy and emotions is all so rock and roll personified. She is the hottest damn singer in every way to me. All around incredible performer. Jamie has a tone and style I envy. I now will be seeking out his tonal secrets. Shit I almost forgot the songs. Damn those songs were all fun and really well crafted, which doesn't sound fun itself but makes them truly great as is and not something that makes you go "That could be a cool song if someone else brought it to it's potential". No this was all them doing what they do best and nobody could do better. Like when you hear a recording and actually think "Wow, I wouldn't change a thing about that". Always great t see that someone is keeping rock alive and well with real instruments and no auto-tune or other BS.

You know what's insane? Queens of the Stone Age and The Kills are my two favorite bands. In 2014 they played in Inglewood, The Forum. The Kills opened for Queens of the Stone Age, i was ecstatic. It was a great Halloween event and it was QoTSA's closing show. It was a fantastic event with a Halloween Costume Contest and all, on the 31st. It got me into Bob's Burgers 🙊 Those stoners voted them the winners of the contest, but The Kills stole the show, without a doubt. Which was sad for me cus i love Qotsa and have met Joshua Homme twice. 😔
