His voice compliments Laura's so fuckin well, he could easily do lead to if he wants to. And I love how he does the highs and she does the lows, it makes it way more interesting than a lot of bands dynamic.

He always hits that note in TA live. Not sure why. It drives me bonkers. Can’t find a single time where he doesn’t go for that note. It seems like a choice he’s making on purpose. It matches up eventually but is flat at the start. Screw it if Tom wants that note , he gets it

I still come back to this video all the time. Every time I watch it and see Nubs in the crowd, it puts a smile on my face. Great show!

I get that they had legal rules for this house show but if I saw Against Me! play a house show I'd be going fucking nuts. Also Laura's Nash jazzmaster is fucking gorgeous.

Jesus Christ, how did it take me so many years to find this? Watching this made my eyes tear and my soul bleed.

Nice to see that Dee Dee was able to get a job after he left the Ramones.

Here I am, sitting in Denton for the 10th year and about to move across the country. 5 am falling in love with Against Me! and Laura busts out that Mountain Goats track. Something wild in the air right now....

I'm currently reading Laura Jane's book. I didn't realize how much bullshit she had to go through in the early days of the band, with so many poseurs calling her and her band "sellouts." Bands are allowed to change. True fans of the band never would have called them "sellouts." They would have changed and matured along with them.

there was actually one interview where she mentioned that an ex fan slashed their tires when they were playing a show and treated to throw a brick at them it was fucking brutal.

Luara looks so much more comfortable in her skin than angry Tom Gabel.

Still one of the greatest, most energetic live gigs on KZread. Coming back to this concert every so often. Against Me! is one hell of a punk rock band!

Walking is still honest sounds ten times better here than the album version. Those background vocals are rock solid.

I think it's realy cool that AM brought out Lucas. I never would've known about the Cliks or Lucas without this video.

brings back memories to the first time I saw against me! at a small house show in Tacoma, WA in 2003. ahh, so good. and they are still just as amazing!

Tom was good friends of my sister in high-school. He actually used to come play at my open mic night and alway broke my strings. I'm proud to have had him/ her break my strings. Naples Florida strong 💪

I looked away during the beginning of the ocean and was very much shocked to hear someone who wasn't Laura LMAO

I admire her so much! Her fucked past is very similar to mine, and her music has helped me through some shit through the years. I can still remember that day I picked up a punk compilation tape many, many, years ago from this old record trading store in San Diego California. Little to my thirteen year old brain's knowledge at the time did I know I would discover a special song on that tape, something life changing, and that little something was called *PINTS OF GUINNESS MAKES YOU STRONG.*

I didn't realize this until Laura said it but once I figured out I was Non-Binary & Trans I was able to start focusing more of my energy on creativity and building things. Having to hide part of who you are really does consume a lot of time and effort.

Thank you Laura Jane for the advice at 30:00. Needed that today! super cool band with great ideas and such a cool sound and an honest way of writing!

During the first couple songs I was getting kinda pissed at the people who weren't singing along... but then some of those people were singing along to the newer songs and I calmed down. Yes, I know that my attitude was selfish, but this is one of the bands of this size/popularity that I still feel very attached and selfish about. "My little secret..." Haha (laughing at myself).
