The Strombo Show

The Strombo Show

This is a channel for intimate, honest, authentic conversations, stories and performances. Entertaining, yes, but ultimately I want to connect you to great ideas, songs, artists, and adventures. The closer we are to each other's experiences, the better we can understand.

A rollercoaster ride of storytelling, deep conversations, and cultural connections that stretch far and wide. A home for original thinkers, big-time creatives, and people looking for a place to happen. And it happens, in my living room.

My name is George. I'll let someone else write this next part ;)

George. Stroumboulopoulos is a multi-award-winning interviewer, producer, humanitarian, filmmaker, and musician who has spent more than 30 years connecting people worldwide with great stories, ideas, and music.
His Strombo Show airs daily in 165 countries on Apple Music Hits. He also has a book club called Strombo’s Lit with Apple Books.

And oh… and motorcycles, pho, and horses, definitely his thing.

If they never pick up their instruments again, so be it. They've done 40 plus years making music. But. If they do work together again, I'm sure that there is writings that Neil did that could be made into songs. And if not, they could still throw something together. For just one more album.

Every moment Geddy and Al give to us is a gift that we do not deserve. They deserve to spend the rest of their time doing what they WANT to do. If that happens to include live performances - all us fans will be overjoyed by that gift. If that includes new collaborations, potentially new studio releases - that is a gift we could never afford. And I'm saying "gift" because both of these men would be doing it as such since they don't need the money and owe nothing to the fan base. They would be doing as a pure artistic outlet and a gift to the rest of us.

Hell yeah.. The Blues is where's its at Bro. Mix in some Rock and you got heaven. As much as I prefer Gilmour to Waters.. I think Waters wrote that one. All the best English bands of the 60's had American Blues influences. Thats what made them so great. Mayall and Page, Cream, and ofc The Stone. All of these bands are number one in my mind but represent a different genre. Zeppelin is every bit as insanely good as Floyd but in different ways.. just like Gilmour, Page, Beck, Knopfler, Moore.. and so many more

I can't thank you, Strombo, enough. You had the best inquiries that any Rush fan could have. Thank you for genuinely wanting to learn, as a fan (without an agenda or goal of ratings as many interviewers do). You asked all of the right questions, with all the proper humility. Many musicians, let alone interviewers, strive to have that fluency in the presence of their heroes.
