I took my 8 year old son to see his favourite band last summer at the Calgary stampede. Alexis on fire was all he could scream through tears on my shoulders while they walked out on stage. Then he sang every word he knows so loud he lost his voice for the next few days. Proud father moment getting to share with him what I grew up on.

What I like to see. As a fan, you guys work together. Back when it started that brother hood wasn't captured. You were well spaced on stage everyone doing their own thing. You would work for the show independent. You all loved doing it. Then after seeing the show at Copps How you all were doing something together on stage as a team. I was like wow. Why did they end it. Now I see everyone isn't afraid to talk, and show that here. In studio for an interview and everyone has a say together. Which is Awesome! That is Alexisonfire and to see you guys all recognize it and understand that work towards a mutual agreement. All 5 people have to say yes. This is next album stuff the life line for the whole band and I am excited because I feel the next albums songs will evolve from each of those lessons. Which is epic and I am excited to hear it. Cause I have a good feeling. It will keep the core values of the band ip, but be that album that everyone can relate to OG fans new fans and yes fans like me you picked up in between. Which is nice when that album comes and just pick away at it with no contract and honestly. It good thing for music because you can choose to sell a list of songs as a whole album to be pressed and released if you go that way.

He does *sound* rough more than looking it, although I guess he looks a bit rough too, not quite ready to keel over as you put it haha but to me he looks and sounds like he's spent the last 15 years of his life partying and playing music, doing drugs and smoking too much. Also let's not forget this guy is the lead vocalist for a hardcore band i'm pretty sure and also the singer for another punk band i wanna say, on top of AOF again now, so that's probably a major reason for the marked hoarseness of his voice.

28:50 I'm not sure what he's talking about when he jokes about Alexisonfire going to Coachella so that there can be a rock band there, since there are rock bands there. True, there aren't many, but they are there.

I'd love to meet this familiar Muse. ...Yes I agree with you cause POSERS can look rediculous. I was once made out to look like an idiot poser. I'm sure his little trolling ways will find this comment too. I feel like Ally from a "Star is born". I don't play my original songs for anyone. Cause when I tried? I started off and then it all went south very fck fast. OMG!? What just happen? Worst experience of my life. But I learned a very valuable lesson too. I want to thank George. S. and Dallas. G for the twitter acknowledgement. I was at the Apple store when I realized this. Many frustrations have come and gone due to computer and lack of understanding on how they work. I'm wondering if I'd be welcomed to subscribe here after the fact? I'll come back if i feel I am. No more BS. I have respect, I'll use it.

@@billmassy This interview made me smile through the whole thing and gave me a feeling of a family member or best friend coming to visit or a warmth in my heart I just can't explain. The interview felt 100% natural and genuine to me and everyone who knows AOF. If you don't like them or believe them then go listen to the radio or something.

when i mentioned dynamics, i didn't mean between the band members. i meant the dynamics of the way the band is collectively describing themselves. it seemed like a lot of justification that, to me, is unnecessary. that's why the conservative time in music thing was so off. it seemed like they were trying to create a narrative that doesn't exist in order to justify their new song's release. i think it might just be a growing pain in the lifespan of a career band. there isn't a clearly laid path for a band like themselves. at the time of their release, they were certainly weird as hell compared to what was going on in Canada at the time. but, the case is that in 2019, screaming in rock music is pretty well accepted, it is in hip-hop that we are seeing the most weirdest on a major level.

'it seemed like they were trying to create a narrative that doesn't exist in order to justify their new song's release.' So youre saying that theyre being dishonest? You're the one who's off.
