Hi, The Kiffness. I write this comment today because I want to tell you something. Recently I lost my sister when she was 19, she was supposed to get married two days from the day she passed. Usually music helps me find my way through hard times. However, lately, it hasn't been doing it for me. But this song has truly helped me through this, I listen to it every day, and I really must thank you. Thank you for helping me through the pain. Thank you.

This song means so much to me. On the night before my dads funeral I hadn’t slept at all, and I had been replaying so many precious memories the two of us shared in my head. Before i knew it it was 7 am and time to start getting dressed for the service. I was having a really hard time keeping it together. I decided to listen to some music to help distract me. I grabbed my dads favorite hoodie (it smelled like him) and I buried my face in it and hugged it. and in that moment this song started playing and it’s just brought tears to my eyes. i started swaying back and forth to the rhythm and the words. It felt like I was having a final dance with my daddy, almost as if he was saying don’t cry for me because I’m gone, Smile that I’m not in pain anymore, I’m a peace.

Sadly, anthropologically, happy songs come from sadness and hardship. Love songs come from the brokenhearted, and songs about peace comes from a war/crime ridden areas. Knowing that, it makes the happy songs to hit me more. I can only imagine the hardship of the songwriter of this song. Less than a handful of songs affect me in my 50 years of life (47 of which I’m surrounded by music), but this song is at the top of my list.

I had listened to and loved this rendition few days back. Today morning I woke up with a craving to listen to this and read your comment. A few repeats later, I found myself tearing up at “tomorrow you may fall down on your face”. I let it come through and pretty soon I was bawling. What is the impact of this song and the emotional appeal of those lines - combined with the angel voice of this kid and the music -it is incredible. Do you have any insight why it makes one cry?

Same here. I think it's the hard strike on the P in the word pain, which singers don't usually do because it gives a pop sound, kinda like how you have to rework your T and S sounds when you sing into a mike. Love this version of this.

@@tarakbenslimane2228 It might sound strange at first but please hear me out 🙏🏼🙏🏽 Good works could never save men or persuade God. Our good deeds could never cover up our sins. We all broke God's law (eg. do not lie, do not steal, ..) and therefore stand guilty before God because of our sins. The only way we can be forgiven and be saved from the punishment of hell is if someone or something pays the price for our sins. It's as if you were in a court of law and have a stack of speeding fines, you cannot go free unless you pay them. In the same way we broke God's law, therefore sinned against God, and therefore are guilty, but Jesus Christ paid the fine for us, so that we don't need to go to hell. That's what he did on that cross, and through his life, death, & resurrection. God did this for us why? because He loved the world/us so much. "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 8:38-39 What we all must do is turn from your sinful ways (repent) and put your faith and trust in the saviour Lord Jesus Christ 🙌🏽🙌🏼

@@Mnel5 no one say that our deed can save us. In Islam, to be saved you have to have two things: the main one is the true belief and the second one is the deeds (with GOD's mercy). The true believe is to sincerely believe in GOD (the only one GOD and no partner or son), his books (zaboor (david), torah (moses), ingeel (jesus), coran (mohammed)), his angels, the days of judgement and the destiny. The deeds will be judged based on GOD's justice and mercy. May Allah bless you.
