    Love your videos and commentary! Would love to see a detailed breakdown of your side-smash, knee-cut A/B system. I really appreciate not just the explanation of what you are doing right, but also highlighting the mistakes your partner makes that provide the correct situation for executing a specific move.

    Thank you so much your training videos are very helpful since you explain the principles like don't let then get under hooks and how jujitsu is grips and hand fighting. Those two and this guard passing video has helped my game immensely. I look forward to more videos with explanations of concepts and principles like how when passing someone's guard you want to flatten their upper body things like that that'll make me understand what I'm trying to do to accomplish the goal thanks again

    Would love the side smash/knee shield video. I find when I go to pass I find it hard on certain grapplers that are super aggressive from the bottom, how would you deal with this ? A video on dealing with aggresive BJJ would be good.

    It’s finally here! Amazing job on the video and clarity of the details. 🔥 HQ is hands down my favorite place to be. If they give up the underhook they’re also giving up a free knee slice. As for a positional round I’d like to see you do next, I would like to see your back escapes in full action, since I’m currently working on that for the next few months, along with body triangle escapes. 😂

  • @mraBJJ33
    @mraBJJ332 жыл бұрын

    Underhooks are KING especially in no gi, you can improvise many grips in the gi to serve control like an underhook but nothing like that exists in no gi so the underhook rules as the positional control grip as well as to escape from bad bottom positions

  • @JordanTeachesJiujitsu

    @JordanTeachesJiujitsu

    So true. The grips are so limited in nogi. Underhooks are truly king 👑

    The knee cut/smash A/B system is my go to move and works so well! I'm glad you covered this! I usually counter knee slice with reverse de la riva then go into deep half or kiss of dragon, but I find myself stuck in RDR when higher belts don't give me enough room to move or stuffing my knee. I would love to learn how you counter knee slice and side smash passes! Thanks again Jordan!

    Thx for showing correct or incorrect examples in secondary windows, super helpful. Often instructors only say it, leaving audience to visualize. Same happened when I started watching Danaher, he would pause what he was saying to twll the camera to come around, allowing audience to see directly rather than visualize due to visual obstruction. These video techniques are excellent for visual learners and memorization, and allows for correct drilling rather than having to speculate if something is right. There’s no substitute for in-person training, but I find good videos allows for concept and positional drilling alone at home between classes. As always, thx so much for sharing 🙏🏻

    Great video. Again so much more important to understand the concept of the tight elbows. T. rex arms rock! I had a jiujitsu tournament last week and my knee shield half guard was virtually unpassable. I just kept my elbows glued to my sides and they couldn’t get through Those T. rex arms are so easy to understand. Thanks Jordan!

    my goto is the knee cut. slide your knee over their thigh near their knee for the extra leverage. biggest problem is remembering to get the under hook on the far side. i used to rush and do like a knee slide but stop with your staple their bottom leg and then work on the underhook. also look into the leg weave pass. iyou smash their legs like he did in this one but you pass to either side depending no which way they try to push your head. tkae the path of least resistance
