Kavanaugh has plenty of reasons to be upset, so I wasn't surprised to hear he let off some steam at the hearing. But then I actually watched the clips of him talking, and... Jesus, this man BABBLES almost as bad as Trump. He repeats himself over and over, he can't give a straight answer, and he can't control his temper. This may not have been a trial but he was testifying under oath. What kind of a judge talks like THIS under oath? Continually refusing to answer with a simple yes or no, acting downright petulant when cornered by hard questions, and even throwing the questions back at the questioner. If a witness had talked like that in Kavanaugh's own court, Kavanaugh would have been fully justified in finding that witness in contempt of the court. This man has been presiding over trials for decades, deciding the fate of hundreds of defendants--and now that HE is the one accused, he can't handle the pressure.

@@fifermcgee5971 because that FBI investigation will postpone his nomination, which is what this whole cherade was designed to do. If he knows he's innocent, why would he willingly sign away his potential final chance at a nomination? He was the one who wanted a hearing THE DAY AFTER, and it was delayed constantly. Fords supposed 'fear of flying' was the reason, despite the fact she travels constantly around the world for work and leisure. Naomi Jenner The Senate Judiciary committee is conducting this hearing. All of them are lawyers and many are former prosecutors. One of a prosecutor's tricks (actually, not a trick, just the way they have been trained to do their job in order to CONTROL the answer and therefore control the narrative in court) is to ask a leading question that asks for a yes or no answer. Here they wanted him to answer yes to the question of whether he had ever gotten so drunk he blacked out with a "yes" to imply that he was that way during the Ford incident and simply forgot. Why would he fall into that trap?

Kavanaugh acted in the same petulant manner as Trump often does, instead of acting calm and composed. I am not arguing for either case, but pointing out that to disrespect the very pursuit of the truth is shameful. If there is any chance that this man has indeed committed the acts of misconduct then every care should be taken to fairly examine the evidence and hear both sides. As a judge himself I would have hoped he would understand that and deeply respect it, instead of the intense disrespect he showed by shooting questions back, yelling, and displaying inappropriate levels of anger for a judge demonstrated that he cannot handle that pressure with grace. ima laugh so hard if it turns out he did it
I don't get the Idea where he get that Clinton Revenge Idea when he is just supposed to answer questions for his job interview

It's a deflection guaranteed to strike a chord with those who only care about party or specific policys. He has to come up with something to say when he isn't going to answer yes no questions. It's making it a partisan issue instead of a character or suitability issue

This is literally a kangaroo court. He is being attacked while many on the left hold a presumption of guilt. The Clinton revenge idea isn’t that out there. It would make sense that since Clinton doesn’t hold office, they wouldn’t want to let trump’s nominee get in. There’s no evidence, its all he said she said. There’s nothing to investigate if she can’t remember where the house was, what year the party happened, how she got there, how she got home, or any other important details. Her own friend who Ford named as a witness said that party never took place and she had never been at a party where kavanaugh was present. If there was real evidence then I’d be 100% for a full investigation and a no vote for kavanaugh. That’s simply not the case here.

Kavanaugh worked for the prosecutor on Clinton's impeachment. He submitted a bunch of over the top sexual questions for Starr to ask (because he's a little perve) that had to be thrown out by Starr due to being inappropriate. Big surprise, right?
WHY CAN'T SHE TALK ABOUT IT FROM HER OWN WORDS??? WHY READ IT????
I hope they experience same trauma as Dr Ford . If this happened to their own daughter and grand daughters. You will not understand until you taste it the pain. Reading story or watching movies make you little sad and latter you forgot. In reality touch and feel is different unless you experience the pain. Shameless people are more confidence and louder voice.
No location, no dates, no evidence. Ridiculous
Soooo this the man we want in the Supreme Court? The one who will decide historical decisions for our country? He can’t even control his temper about something he says he is innocent for. If he is innocent, why is he so upset, and dancing around questions.
BS she had to wait freaking years before complaining on him 🙄

Most ignorant thing i have reed today.
I always believed him she's full of crap
Watch both of their opening statements, in full. This video strung together and manipulating snippets out of context. Look at the like/dislike ratios on both their opening statements.
'I was Number One' I am number One' I am innocent, as I am Number One. Not You are not.
Lindsay Graham acted like an understudy who went onstage off- book in a (bad) community theatre production of "Twelve Angry Men"
I think he asked the senator whether or not she had ever gotten black out drunk to see whether or not she would sympathize with him.
The way the people behind kavanaugh look at him is priiiceless
He may or may not be guilty. Need conclusive evidence. The fact that she talks in a sweet sounding voice with (some) emotion while he's loud and upset is not proof. Plus there were instances where she herself was dodging questions. For example, she was asked a straightforward question about how she was able to determine the exact month and year of the party after she had given (before this hearing took place) two contradictory timeframes. She pretty obviously pretended not to have understood the question and responded as if she was asked a general question about memory. And when pressed she said it was based off when she got her Drivers license; but I don't see how that would get her to a specific month for the incident unless she claims to have gotten it just a month afterwards.
Judging from Mr. Kavanaugh's appearance and demeanor, I don't think he should be confirmed as judge. The man has too much baggage........ a drunkard, allegations of sexual misconduct......an angry soul. He seems bereft of any semblance of dignity and he SEEMS to KNOW it by his constant harping on the prestigious schools he attended, how hard he worked......the fact that a victim of sexual abuse had contacted HIM for advice and consolation.

Tom Wittner. Before you criticize one, maybe you should try walking in his shoes. How would you like to be falsely accused of something you did not do. Sounds like you haven't, only participated in accusing another. Does not say much for your integrity. To be #1-3 in your class takes HARD work. Sounds like you never made a commitment and followed through which takes self discipline. Being a fine lawyer with integrity takes HARD work. There is no time to play when you are working hard. He had 6 FBI investigations in his gov't career. Had an outstanding reference from the Law Board. It is Ford with serious personal issues prior to the age of 15. Research the Ford family background. Kavanaugh only has Ford's accusation and nothing else in his file. Research the Kavanaugh family. stateofthenation2012.com/?p=104239.The Kavanaugh family has integrity and the Fords' character is that of corruption and lacks integrity.

Nancy Crisman Nancy Crisman sorry that’s not how innocent people react to being falsely accused. The things he was saying in his defense only distracted from the situation rather than called in question any false statements nor did he assert his good morals and character. He was acting angry and outraged because it’s a political communication tactic. Your alma mater and accomplishments don’t determine your character. He asserted that the reason this woman was lying was due to the political climate-so can he prove that Clinton and others approached this woman and asked her to make up a story and lie? No so that was b.s. ....just tactics.

Nancy, do we know that the accusations are false? No, we do not. As for his having worked "HARD" as you put it, his work ethic is not in question here.
This is so disturbing....
Hmm. Music playing in the bedroom already and they turned it up.So party downstairs with music and music in bedroom where no one was til they got there.
the man is a over-emotional, biased, clown. not judge material regardless of whether he's a career drunk.
The woman's reaction to Kavanaugh. (Seated in the back) omg 4:17, 5:13, and 5:24
New York Times: at 0:08 why do you have Mr. Kavanaugh's title written, but not Dr. Blasey-Ford's?
True or not. Someone’s life is about to be destroyed. I get so emotional on both sides.
