No clothes were removed, she was not raped and she was not sexually assaulted. Her claim was that she looked in his eyes and thought he was going to do x y or z. No one can corroborate her story. She can’t remember when it happened, where it happened or who was there. But we are happy to destroy a persons life based on a non-event that occurred 30+ years ago when they were kids.

I’m absolutely in no way a fan of Justice Roberts, but she had absolutely no way of proving her claims. It really came down to he said she said. In my opinion that’s not enough to put someone on the National stage of trial by public opinion. I remember thinking it was disgusting of the Dems for allowing that show to go on.

I’m glad she came forward but I’m not liking that she was not fully informed by her representatives what she will need to do or given the opportunity to opt out of testifying publicly. Really disappointing.

In the case of Blasey Ford, it was reported that she trained FBI how to beat a lie detector test. There were inconsistencies in her story.

Her truth was that she could not recall when it happened, where it happened, or who was there. Her truth also included that a 17-year-old Kavanaugh wrestled with her when they were both fully clothed before a friend knocked him off of her so they could wrestle. The whole hearing was a joke and insult to actual victims of sexual assault.

It took a great deal of courage for this woman to tell her story. Many women go through these types of things and never tell anyone because they feel they won’t be believed. This woman told her story and whether people believed her or not I always felt that Kavanaugh should not have been appointed to the Supreme Court until a thorough and impartial investigation was done by the proper authorities. There may have been other women because in these types of cases there usually are. That little so-called crap that was done wasn’t conclusive at all. And now only time will tell if a sexual deviant is sitting on the Supreme Court making laws and judgments about other sexual deviants. How ironic that would be……😳

Even if you take every single word of her evidence to be true, it would not come remotely close to meeting the standards for sexual assault. Do you honestly believe that there were other 'victims' out there that they would not have come forward? The opposite is true; where every woman who has worked with Kavanaugh has nothing but glowing reports of him. Instead, you are happy to bury a person's career based on what can be, at worst, described as horseplay between two kids under the age of 17. You and people like you are what is wrong with the country. What are you going to tell me next? He should not have been nominated because he got caught stealing a chocolate bar when he was 12.

This is one of the most disturbing and despairing events that has ever occurred in our country along with Anita Hill. I respect and revere Dr. Blasey Ford for coming forward as she did and speaking the truth. This was obviously so hard…and then to have “No Republicans” talk to her? Lindsey Graham wouldn’t speak with her at all as a U.S. Senator? If there are any Republican women reading this, please explain to me how this story works for you enough that you are happy Brett Kavanaugh was appointed Justice and is it okay to sweep this under the rug and pretend it never happened or that it’s fine, that’s just the way “men” are?? Lindsey Graham, everyday I find more reasons to despise you…count this one as one of the biggest reasons. As this country stands currently, I do not know if we will make it through this year as a great Democracy and I ask everyone to Vote Blue in 2024.

She was a very credible witness--so much so, that Republicans appeared very worried until Lindsey Graham had his hissy fit. Her experience was obviously very traumatic, which can result in memory lapses. But the "lol" at the end of your post shows how much you're trivializing a sexual assault.

@@naylas3908 Tara was threatened and had to leave her home in the same way Christine did. Tara’s mother called into Larry King Live and told him about what happened to her while working for Joe. She even got a clip of the Larry King Show where her mother called in and told him what happened, Tara had proof. Joe hid her file about it. Someone in the FBI told her she wasn’t safe and Russia gave her asylum. She wasn’t believed just as Christine and Anita Hill weren’t believed. Joe even told Anita he would allow another corroborating witness for Anita as he was over the committee at the time and ran her hearing and was downright cruel to Anita. None of these women got Justice and they all told the truth. I watched Christine’s hearing and Anita’s hearing and it was disgusting how they were treated and Tara was also treated horribly.

At least 40 people tried to get in contact with the FBI but were ignored because of the Republicans I congress interfering.

She is quite an actor, that's for sure. This is a totally different person than the one that "testified" against Kavanaugh. Back then she portrayed the part of an emotionally damaged, frail, afraid-of-her-shadow, reclusive, paranoid mess of a woman who couldn't manage to answer a question without acting like she was totally confused and in phsyical pain at the effort to do so. She also wore very thick glasses that were, by the way, dirty, to again (I think) emphasize how unable she was to function in life. Very well played, however her contradictory statements showed loud and clear what a liar she is.
