12-year-old Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) could've been the most popular kid in Detroit, but his mother's (Taraji P. Henson) latest career move has landed him in China. The final salute by the opposing team was such a great show of respect.
No matter what they say and how they criticize this movie, or just make fun of its title, I still find it to be very entertaining. One of my favorite movies

@@nars- there was some controversy because it was set in China, so it should have been called the Kung Fu Kid (because kung fu is a chinese fighting style while karate is Japanese) but honestly it was pretty stupid and people should have just appreciated the movie.

He was a good child actor but is a much better musician
My favorite moment was when Dre was crawling he’s way up, he was crying he was in so much pain. His mom and Mr. Han were worried for him the crowd was cheering for him and he slowly and carefully stood up with the music in the background did it for me. That was some good acting right there Jaden Smith was amazing.💕✨

This shows you how to not give up no matter what is thrown in your way. When you belive and you know The Lord is with you, nothing can be against you. He learned this move while spending time with his teacher. While with his teacher he learned something that changed his life forever. Fight a good fight and don't give up. 💪 🙏

Well the crane kick originated from Kung fu. Kung fu copies and uses animals techniques. This was more of the Snake kick or Cobra kick.
My taekwondo master would've been proud of any of his students who showed this sportsmanship. However when you hand anything over in any martial art, you bow and present and the recipient bows when he takes the gift

Little kids doing full contact with a crowd of adults cheering it on. Wow. And they had to come up with something bigger then the crane kick was this crazy impossible stunt really the best they could come up with.
Cheng has definitely started respecting Dre and he redeemed a lot I love that very much see if you know martial arts super well show it to the whole world respect will be earned because the world is cruel and life is cruel sometimes!
They should have altered that last shot, you can see Master Li’s on the floor in the background, a cut off from the deleted scene where Li and Mr Han fight

At 4:02 and 4:03 you can see the other teams sensei on the floor from the alternate ending even though the alternate ending was never shown normally. I guess they never thought people would noticed or care about a second of on the floor. Search for Karate Kid Alternate ending to see the teachers fight. :3

They had an alternate ending where Jackie beats up the other teacher in a fight. You can see still sort of see it at the end and see the teacher way in the back struggling to get up. But this ending of the students all bowing to a true master is much more impactful
