Thank you Perez! You are not being too hard on J.T. My Best Best Friend from childhood at age 33 along with his wife and newborn baby boy was killed in a head on car crash by an underage drunk driver. Driver also was killed. I have no sympathy for stupid people who drink and drive. Call an Uber or Lyft if you've been drinking...or have a designated driver. No excuses for J.T.!!

Driving drunk is a danger to others and should never be taken lightly. You aren't going too hard on him. He has money to hire a driver or other methods of transportation. This is inexcusable

Longtime RN here. When I worked in a trauma ICU, we kept a log of all the patients who suffered vehicular traumas. By our stats, well over 2/3 of the traumas were caused by alcohol or drugs. In other words, all of the accidents were preventable had the driver(s) not been drinking or doping. Anyone who kills someone else by drunk driving should be jailed for at least attempted murder. I despise JT for this. He knew better and he chose badly.

As a nurse you should realize that the millions of people that drink and drive are under the influence of alcohol at the time they make the decision to drive. Therefore they are under the effects of alcohol and cannot make a proper decision. He is being held accountable and its gross the way these comments are attacking someone who made a mistake. I'm not a JT fan but this public arena of ripping someone apart is just gross.

He shouldn't be treated any differently than a non celeb. Throw the book at him and move on

The cop is incredibly inefficient. The first time he pulled Timberlake over he already observed that he was I ntoxicated with his bloodshot eyes and alcohol stench but he still let him go with just a warning!! Did he actually trust a drunk Timberlake to call someone? A drunk person’s judgement is impaired & distorted. And this host sounds like Timberlake should be thankful that he let him go w/ just a warning the first time he was pulled over but this cop should have had JT perform a field sobriety test then and there and subsequently arrested him. It’s a different thing for a cop to give a warning to someone driving 50 mph on a 45 mph zone or with a busted headlight.

I find this new info distressing for unexpected appalling reasons. I think everyone agrees that Timberlake should not have driven drunk, that was absolutely dangerous and deserved his arrest and detainment. But from what I've learned from various news outlets, Timberlake was observed as undoubtedly wasted, and the officer, who this KZreadr unnecessarily pointed out did not recognize JT, should not have not let him go the first time he was pulled over. It's one thing to warn someone with a broken headlight or making a rolling stop instead of a complete one, but if a cop observes someone who is wasted like Timberlake, he should have not just given him a warning but he shld have proceeded to give him a sobriety test. This guy is making it sound that this cop is so considerate and gallant for letting JT go the first time but it actually is an absolutely incompetent decision.
