I think its his OCD that earns him the permavirgin image. Excessive concern with petty details is a common trait of nerdy young boys. Everyone else outgrew that phase. Jon never did. And as much they like Jon in the end, everyone has also had a boss like Jon in their past. And they know if Jon was their boss he would enforce his neurosis on them like a religious despot of old. So there's a bit of resentment directed at him as well.

The first time they played it he did amazingly because he convinced Jon that he doesn't even understand the game. But after that I think the chance just goes to 50/50 because Sean is so good at bluffing that you just have to guess whether he is or not.

Did anyone else think that Jon looked like a toddler when he shook the maracas? I thought he looked so adorable 😂

One of my favourite moments is when Jon says "If you want a job squaring and cubing things, go work in a fucking jelly factory mate" and for a moment, nobody reacted, but then Rob let's out an intoxicating laugh and saves the joke. Without Rob it would have been blown over, so really we should thank him for how funny it was 😂

It's amazing. When counting to 100, 30 seconds seems such a short time. But when chanting This Is Britain, it just goes on and on forever.

Jon Richardson is the best thing on that programme. It would be rubbish without him.

I think they took an ordinary cardigan and painted it yellow. The reflective tape is sewn or glued on top. My local fabric shop sells reflective tape in 3 meter Packs.

It's adorable when he finds out that Jimmy is going to announce his engagement. Just those few seconds. :)

Some part of me believes that Rachel really fancies Jon and Jon fancies her. However I think Jon doesn't want to subject someone like Rachel to his oddities, whilst Rachel is constantly mesmerised on how intelligent Jon is whilst still being witty. He balances it so well that honest to god if he was just 5 inches taller, no man would stand a chance. I really wanted them to be together after the first few episodes. They really compliment each-other well, Jon's odd humour and Rachel's 'why not' jokes just makes countdown really fun to watch.

@@cnelsonlv999 You could maybe argue that squaring is within the spirit of the rules, but cubing takes in two numbers and produces three. In this case Richard used a 10 and 3 to get 3 10s that were then multiplied together.

@@Quellan00 Well, he was using the numbers on the board. 10 and 3 were on the board. If the rules say you can't use squares and cubes, then those are the rules, but in terms of the "spirit of the game," there should be nothing wrong with using powers.

squaring the five is essentially 5 * 5 however there was only one five on the board so its taking advantage of a loophole that countdown typically wouldn't allow

@@cnelsonlv999 Because when the integer is positive (so always in Countdown) exponentation correspondends to multiplication. 5^2 is just 5*5, 5^3 is just 5*5*5, 5^4 is just 5*5*5*5, etc. so unless a contestant had multiple 5s on board it's illegal. When you write down "10^3" you're not using any threes in a mathematical equation, it's just a way of writing down "10*10*10" in a simpler way.

I woke up this morning with Jamie Cullum singing "Jon Richardson" in my head this morning. I have watched many compilation videos today, looking for it. I have found it. It's now past 2 pm, and I haven't done anything productive. I am happy, though.
