@@yourname7254 Lawerence Sher, the cinematographer on this and the first movie says that it’s a full on musical and also calls the project “very risky”.

I think the musical numbers would take place inside Joker's and/or Harley's minds as she is his doctor at Arkham, becomes infatuated with him, slowly falls under his sway and descends into madness. I've always wanted to see a good origin story of them meeting in Arkham, so I hope that's where they're going with it. I'm def down for this.

Todd Phillips always said he wanted to make a serious movie but most people would not watch it if it didnt have a dumb super hero character name attached to it. Now they are going the opposite direction. They are not catering to teen nerds, they are making a real movie. This will keep nerdies out of the cinema so adults can enjoy it.

@@maskingtablesyour missing the point, that was the original audience that they catered to for the first film, now completely changing the franchise to something else is going to make the movie possibly flop because it’s not intended to attract the same fans back. Look at how well Disney is doing right now.

The Joker is one of my all time favourite movies. I love anything in the Batman DC Universe and this was very well done. Joaquin Phoenix is an incredibly talented actor.

Really the movie wasn’t that good. Enjoyable. But since the joker was insane people thought it was great. Plus stop giving money to people who hate Americans. They see us as a ATM. They make fun of you at parties. That’s why they say the things they do on social media. Want us to pay more taxes while they get everything they want. Including having sex with children.

To people that could be upset by the whole musical idea, it's been rumored to be more like a star is born than la la land. Plus, the musical would mostly be in Joker and Harley's head. Just a little heads up till we get a trailer.

At first I didn’t like the musical part but I remember in the first one he had little moments he would dance as if he was performing so I started thinking maybe the musical makes perfect sense since he all about the show. It’s like perfect if you think about it

This movie stands on its own. When I first watched it, I hoped they weren’t going to try making a sequel. And I love musicals, but I really can’t see this will be good.

we paid to go see the first movie because it was so good we loved the style we loved the characters we loved the realism this movie grounded itself in and when asked if we wanted more we all said YES! so what do we get in return a musical.. good luck with that.

I absolutely hated this movie but forced myself to watch it again a second time and found myself enjoying it. I think the reason I hated it the first time was I couldn’t stand seeing the joker smoking all the time. I hate smokers.

The only reason I forced myself to watch it a 2nd time is because everyone was raving on about it. Still not my favourite Joker but having watched it the 2nd time I picked up on a few of the flamboyant nuances added to the character. Suicide Squad Joker is still the worst interpretation of this character I've ever seen.@@m1cal03

As a movie, I liked The Joker and Pheonix performance. Problem was, it didn't really reflect the Joker accurately as a character.

Some of the greatest movies, in my opinion, are musicals...Grease, Willy Wonka, The Wizard of Oz

I'm going to stay pretty open-minded about the film being a musical. While on the surface it doesn't sound like it will work, I'm really hoping this is one of those instances that the director knows exactly what he's aiming for, and can achieve it effectively. Only time will tell

There’s no way it’s gonna be a full blown campy musical. It’s obviously just gonna be a few scenes where we are witnessing Arthur’s psychosis from his POV. I think it’s gonna surprise a lot of people and actually be really good 🤞

You called Joaquin Phoenix's emo-Joker role 'daring'...😂 I'm just glad my friend wasted his money on the movie ticket, not me. He really wanted someone to go with. Unfortunately, he was the weakest link of the bunch, as he was the only one who thought it would be any good. He tried to get me to tell him something good about the movie, but I couldn't justify a single movie point that would warrant money expenditure. I felt I was conned, at the end of it.
