Phoenix city fathers needed somewhere to dump the people the freeway projects displaced. Whaddaya know? A “cancer cluster” suddenly appears in Maryvale! Who woulda thunk? House prices collapsed overnight. Instant sacrifice zone. Funny thing is the other “cancer cluster” in the Valley never made as much news. Maybe because it’s in Scottsdale.
