THE ED WYNN SHOW. Buster Keaton segment from 1949. Live Kinescope.

Ойын-сауық

This segment from a 1949 episode of The Ed Wynn show spotlights two great comedy legends from the early days of live television. In this piece Wynn and Buster try a new kind of format "silent television". Great fun. This piece fell into the public domain in 1977 from lack of copyright renewal.

he was trying to make a comeback after his offers from the studios went dry. ed wynn gave him a few shots on his show...so sad for a master like him to be forgotten and thrown aside

it's amazing the pratfalls this man continued to do up to the time of his passing. One of the greats. I wonder if you tube has his work with Fatty Arbuckle, who groomed him into the comedy legend he is

Keaton didn't look well here. He actually looked better years later, when he was sober.
