    A pass rusher that could be one hit away from a career ending neck injury. Hopefully he does well but the Colts luck with injuries have not fared well. Knowing that I thought they would have picked up Quinyon Mitchell to help the CBs. If Latu gets 12 sacks and some forced fumbles I'll forget about the neck. 😂

    I'm not sure why we didn't get TJ Tampa or Cam Hart. I feel like we could've boosted our weak secondary. I think the DBs we got might convert to LB.

    15 күн бұрын

    @@M98747 Ronnie Harrison Jr. did well converting to LB. I think the Colts are good there. That new safety they just drafted should shore up the position. Safeties are hardly ever drafted in early rounds. As far as that first pick went, Latu if he stays healthy will be a beast and will help the CBs. That's a big question mark though. He stayed healthy his last two seasons in college and was a terror in pass rushing. Although I would have been happier if the Colts took Quinyon Mitchell with that first pick.

    So apparently there was a few concerns by scouts. "On Friday night an NFC scout said of Mitchell “loved the film, but the interview was bad.” Another front-office employee in the AFC East simply said “character concerns,” but wouldn’t elaborate further. One pre-draft report cited that Mitchell, a Type 1 diabetic, didn’t manage his condition well and that could be the cause of friction. “When his blood sugar’s off, he’s rude, he’s abrasive, he doesn’t pay attention in meetings. It’s why you get really, really shitty character reports coming out of Georgia and Texas. But when his stuff is normal, and they get him normal by lunch time, he’s out at practice high energy, best practice player, loves football.”

    I think the lack of AD’s college YAC was mostly due to Ewer’s errant throws. Just judging my AD’s highlights (Sorry, not the biggest UT fan- the only Texas games I saw were vs Alabama, Red River vs OU and the College Playoff game vs U-Dub, and even then I was following the ball, just not AD like I would now viewing highlights), but often AD would have to run mid-to-longer routes and adjust to off-target balls thrown by Quinn. Often AD fell down in the process. Hopefully, (Please, God) AR5 will be on-target with the ball this year and allow the receivers to run after the catch, not simply adjusting to and making a miraculous play just catching the ball. Let’s hope. GO HORSE!!!

    But he may not have been a Colt. And that is the BIG PRIZE!!! I’d rather go to the right professional team rather than spend another 2 years at a 2nd rate college anyway. Actually, AD said he wanted to be closer to his daughter in Houston, but that didn’t seem to matter to you that he’s a real person off the gridiron.

    I hope the pats were right skipping him. not saying he is an aaron hernandez, but mayo remembers how bad it is to have a young headcase. our 6th rounder boutte is like that now too. if adonai mitchell checks himself and keeps his diabetes under control, he will be a steal. strange how the pats were not confident in him even with wolf as gm.

  • @nateriley4067

    @nateriley4067

    3 күн бұрын

    Wow, are you sure you want to make that BIG of a statement….”I’m NOT saying A.D. is an Aaron Hernandez”, you really put yourself out there on a thin limb! Yeah, I don’t think AD Mitchell is a murderer as well, he was quiet and maybe a bit snarky for some draft interviews because he had low blood sugar for a few hours. But to say he’s not a murder… I don’t think you can make that big of call just yet. You Pats fans are the worst. You cheated for all your Super Bowl wins, and then you come on our new player's page, saying you hope he bombs (I hope the Pats were right to skip him). Well, I hope Drake Maye gets his right arm chopped off with a rusty chainsaw. How ‘bout them apples! And, at least our coach isn’t a racist like Jerod Mayo. Mayo’s first day he sets the ground rules mentioning if he fails it’ll be everyone else’s fault except his, cuz he’s black….. talk about a winning mindset there! I hope he lasts 4 years, wins 13 games and then blames Bob Kraft that he didn’t get enough resources or have enough black assistants or some B.S. It’s all about race with him. You already know your 6th rounder is a head-case? We’re like 3 months away from training camp! Did you go have personal interviews with each draft pick or how you do know he’s a head-case? Is it the usual stuff, that they're 21-year old kids who grew up without fathers in most cases and now have money for the first time and think they’re invincible type stuff or is it something more? I’m genuinely curious. I have nothing against you personally, it’s just I hate the Patriots, their fans, the state of Massachusetts (too liberal) and the General New England area if I’m being honest. All because of Tom Brady and Coach Belichek. You all deserve a much longer losing streak than just the 3 years of tough times it's been thus far. I’m thinking 2043 would be a good year to come out of the cellar and fight for 3rd place in the AFC East (with the Jets, of course). Hoping for many long years of losing and many QBs ahead of you. But all is not lost, Drake Maye will be a tremendous spokesman for chainsaw safety throughout Greater New England!!!

    I’m with you. Most scouts didn’t ding him for his talent or measurables. The Colts don’t usually take that risk, but he dropped so far that it may be worth the risk. A lot of “experts” were sure the Bills would use pick 33 on him, and then he dropped another 20 picks. I get the temptation. Hopefully, he matures after being “pissed” and not giving a great virtual conference. Let’s hope the in person press conference is less awkward. There’s also the effort thing you eluded to, but at least he owned that at the combine (somewhat).
