What a day! Our time in the North East of India is getting better by the day. Today we enjoyed a boat ride in Dawki, Meghalaya along the river that borders Bangladesh and had a huge surprise to see tens of thousands of Bangladeshi's in the river and on the river bank.
We then headed the Shnongpdeng, Meghalaya to sleep in a tent on the river bank in the middle of nowhere. I had the best morning of my life... washing in the river and meditating on the rocks it was incredibly peaceful. And it came at the right time... because tomorrow we've got a 36 hour journey through Meghalaya, Assam, all the way up to Darjeeling!
We are Eleise and Lawrence & Nyh - A young family from the south of England. Like many people the pandemic gave us a shake up! While watching hours of Mark Weins in Thailand - We had our “Ah ha” Moment. We decided we wanted to travel.
Enjoying working for ourselves, we didn’t want to give up our business and decided it was entirely possible for us to do both. So we set about making it our lifestyle to work in the UK for a month, and then travel for a month - month on, month off…. until our little boy Nyh goes to school! We want to inspire people that you don’t have to up-sticks, sell all your belongings and leave behind family to be able to see the world.

And next time when you visit Dawki river for boating make sure you cross the bridge way to the tamabil the India and Bangladesh check post, there you'll be doing baating, because it's the Dawki boating centre which is associated with the government and the price also is way much cheaper than the one you are doing then....And make sure you visit the dry season, you'll be amazed to see the clean river

Dawki is best to visit in winter season....cause you will see water crystal clear on that particular season....now cause of monsoon water looks like dusty cause of Bank of rivers is washed out with muddy... Welcome to North-east part of India... With different ethnic groups and different looks

Because of the monsoon. That river isn't as clean as it's supposed to be. But, go there starting October-March would be the best time as the river becomes crystal clear.
