We are Eleise and Lawrence & Nyh - A young family from the south of England. Like many people the pandemic gave us a shake up! While watching hours of Mark Weins in Thailand - We had our “Ah ha” Moment. We decided we wanted to travel.
Enjoying working for ourselves, we didn’t want to give up our business and decided it was entirely possible for us to do both. So we set about making it our lifestyle to work in the UK for a month, and then travel for a month - month on, month off…. until our little boy Nyh goes to school! We want to inspire people that you don’t have to up-sticks, sell all your belongings and leave behind family to be able to see the world.
Our Philosophy. Work, Travel, Repeat.

Tip: Typically, rice is the staple for most Filipinos and to complete a meal, it comes with a meat dish, fish and veggies. The rice serves as the neutralizer for the intense seasoning of the side dishes, especially in meat and fish. The side dishes, like adobo, isn’t intended as a stand alone meal. Enjoy your stay in my homeland!
When ur eating filipino food it should always be eaten with a rice cause our food is on a salty side esp for meat 😊

rice is too much sugar for them… their body is not used to it… I noticed a cup of rice is a lot for a white person
"chicken abodo"... cracks me up! haha! Also when you order food..order it with rice. coz the rice will take away the saltiness of the food. It will be perfect!
The inasal is customarily eaten with dipping it in a calamansi, vinegar and soy sauce, with the bird's eye chili

Welcome to the Philippines Family more power 💪🤠❤️ Take care ❤️🙏
Loving your re-actions! Im so glad you loved Mang Inasal chicken. A little trick.. for the small limes : KALAMANSI… put your fork on the kalamansi like a strainer.. the fork will catch the seeds when you squeeze so you dont have to pick it out of your food. Kalamansi with ice and a little sugar also makes a better thirst quencher than classic lemonade. Keep going guys.. you have a beautiful family. Looking forward to more videos!
You have a beautiful family, very cute kid. Please Welcome to Philippines. You guys is honored to be here.👏👏👏

If you like Filipino chicken, I think the best chicken in the Philippines is Chicken Inasal also called Chicken Bacolod. It's basically the chicken version of the famous Philippine Lecheon

Welcome to the Philippines
For a full pinoy dining experience i think you should learn how to make your own dipping sauce... dipping sauces are what usually completes the taste of your dish... it is the customizing of your food to your own liking.... if they serve you calamansi and chili usually you mix it with soysauce or fishsauce. Some vinegar for a funkier taste also... experiment and find what suits you
LOVE...LOVE...LOVE..your videos. baby is so so precious.loved your india visit.😘😘

I reckon the Nando's equivalent for chicken inasal (bbq) would be Mang Inasal. Mang Inasal is everywhere in the Philippines like Nando's is in the UK.
it's only in the restauramt but in every household they have thier own style of cooking adobo
Try our very own Bacolod Chicken inasal in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, we have Cansi, Bulalo, our famous Piaya,.and many more delicacies. Our famous Masskara Festival held in October.

Nearly every Filipino dish is meant to be eaten with rice, either plain white rice or garlic fried rice. Stews and broth soups are ideally paired with plain white rice, while grilled and fried dishes could be paired with garlic fried rice. Filipinos love our condiments, so we tend to make a soy sauce, calamansi and chili dip, this is available in most restaurants and you should just ask the servers for these ingredients since you're supposed to do it yourself. First, crush or cut the chilies in your soy dish using your spoon, then squeeze the calamansi and add some soy sauce. This dip is great for grilled and fried dishes. Another type of dipping sauce that Filipinos love is spiced vinegar, this is great with cured sweetened meats, such as Tocino, Tapa and Longanisa. Some people also like to mix the spiced vinegar with the soy sauce, calamansi and chili dip. By the way, calamansi is a local citrus fruit, similar to a lime. If you intend to order Kare-Kare in the future, then don't forget to use the shrimp paste condiment/(Bago'ong) that comes with it, however be cautious because it's quite salty and shrimpy. What we do is we get a bit of rice, meat, vegetables, sauce and a pinch of Bago'ong/shrimp paste on our spoon, you are meant to have all of these components in one bite. By the way,

Almost all Filipinos meals are paired with Rice, Ulam ( your main dish) is eaten with rice to balance the flavor. Chicken Inasal make sure to make a dip (soy sause, calamansi and chili). Enjoy Philippines!
yes you are absolutely right,. Bacolod Chicken is like Nandos Chicken abroad.

Wait for the Juicy Vlog ( George & Lucy ) from UK I think they are coming back to Manila soon
Filipino foods are known for 2 flavors, either salty or sour or both. The reason is because in ancient times, as the Philippines is a tropical country, raw foods will rot within 24 hours. Our ancestos would soak meat, fruits and vegetables in vinegar or salt or both to preserve it. So as time went by salty or sour foods became the diet of Filipinos.
Humid nations forest nations tropical nations ....one tends to lose a lot of sweat and salts and minerals in the process so hence the food is more on sweet or more spicy or more salty...to conmpesate for lost salts etc n all
If you want to go to BAGUIO CITY, the Summer Capital of the PHilippines, just take VICTORY LINER bus..From your HOTEL, ask a Hotel Staff to look for a Taxi that will bring you to bus terminal of Vicotry Liner located along EDSA in Kamuning, Quezon City
