God, Tim McInnery just shines so bright as Lord Percy and Captain Darling and every character he plays.... supremely talented.
Hard to believe Percy was treated even worse than Baldrick in series 2.

The irony is that during that period a nugget of the greenest substance imaginable would have been extremely valuable to the church as a pigment to add to paint for their murals. Assuming it weighs as much as plaster then it probably would have had an equivalent gold value by weight. I think too much.

I think Percy might've accidentally created a pure nugget of Radium, which isn't exactly healthy if I'm being honest

True, but I think Tim had done as much with Percy as he could. Getting Hugh in was just pure genius. He was a different upperclass twerp and had the advantage of a similarly expression-laden face like Rowan. S3, E6 when he gets all that abuse from Fry's ruthless Duke of Wellington is television alchemy if you haven't already seen it. The "warm his heels to Putney Bridge" speech about how to deal with Samuel Johnson was epic too.

They seemed to change things round this season, meaning that Blackadder was brainy & Baldrick got more dimmer. Before that it was vice-versa. Percy remained as dense as could be.

The show follows the descendants of Edmund Blackadder from the reign of the fictional Richard the 4th to World War I, all played by Rowan Atkinson. In season 2 through 4, Blackadder is usually the smartest person in the room trying to increase his fortune and finding ways to look out for himself. Season 1 is funny, but the other seasons are brilliant.

Honestly, maybe Percy isn't truely dumb like Baldrick. I'd say in some instances like herr that he is and can be quite smart, maybe more smarter then Blackadder, just not as sharp or as aware of his surroundings as Blackadder
