About Lost in Space: The Robinson family was supposed to set off on a five-year mission to explore a distant planet, but an act of sabotage by the scheming Dr. Zachary Smith -- who managed to get himself trapped aboard the spaceship -- leaves them adrift in space for three years. The Robinsons, pilot Don West, Dr. Smith and their trusty robot move from planet to planet, always searching for a way to return to Earth.

...and then you remember/realize this was one of BEST episodes in the series...
I remember this vividly. I was nine years old. At 2:14 when Don fell over the side. I ran out of the room. The first five or six episodes of this show were MAGNIFICENT. RIP Mark Goddard.
I live in the "West"ern part of Massachusetts and used to watch the re-runs on WLVI from Boston RIP Mark Goddard!
RIP Mark Goddard 😭😭😭😭💐💐💐💐⚰⚰⚰⚰
One of the best moments, where Judy and Maureen are more than needed just in the gally, where John and Don dont get along.
Taken directly from the climax of the unaired pilot episode "No Place To Hide".
I never wonder why they didn't see him clinging to the glass side of the chariot.

Originally, at 3:47, Don yelled ""HELLLLPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!" as he banged the top of the Chariot hatch. In the final version telecast, his screams were muted.
Always wondered why John Williams didn’t score this scene, given that he provided an original score for this episode.
The Chariot would have capsized in real life. It doesn't look like it was designed for marine use.
Why didnt they see Don out the side window...he was right there...and there is no way the chariot and crew would have survived that storm/whirlpool .......no way
They need to color these. I ask you when was the last time you saw great TV on the networks?
Is Dr. Smith in there? I don't hear him screaming 😆? He always panicked in dangerous circumstances.
