I LOVED this show!! Even looking at it now, the effects hold up well. The props were incredible. And the John Williams music!! Should have been an absolute classic, but I think it only lasted 2 seasons. I enjoyed this way more than Star Trek.

Man, I remember this. A lot of the FX hold up better than modern shows with lazy CG.

Of all the TV shows when I was a child, this is without a doubt my all time favorite

Fantastic show -- still my all-time favorite, ever since I saw it on its debut night. The pilot episode is awesome. TV was so great back then -- so much variety.

that was remarkably good given the fact there were only practical effects and much more limited post-production. i do love the greater use of color in old films. the premise is pretty good too!

man this show needs a blu ray release the picture is stunning im 50 i grew up on reruns to this masterpieve

Yeah, I too want a Blu-ray release. LOST IN SPACE and TIME TUNNEL got a Blu-ray release. I keep thinking LAND OF THE GIANTS should be next. 🤞

I love this show. It takes me back to my childhood. Life was so much better then, than it is now. We are always in to much of a hurry to grow up when we are kids. This show, along with Lost in Space was awesome for me.

More great mid-century drama music background to literally bathe in. They laid it down thickly back then. It took me somewhere else, and still does! Without that kind of excitement music, archetypically, in so much media in the last, 3/5 (roughly) of the 20th century, " oh my, where would I/we be??? Thanks 👍!

Well, they had to cut some production costs after spending a king's ransom on those giant props, and all.

as a kid i absolutely loved this show, never missed it, along with 'the time tunnel'. they are currently repeating TTT on the horror channel ATM, and i'm loving the nostalgia haha, hope we get land of the giants again before long

I swear you must have all the same interests as I do.

Betty sings in one episode. She was actually amazing.

I've been watching it lately on Me TV. I like it better now than I did in childhood. That sharp clear color is vastly better than the sludge dark stuff the new shows have. Betty gets to do stuff towards the end after her pregnancy kept her out of the action for several shows. They developed her as the impulsive one.

no, it was always Gary's voice that said that and the scenes used music from GIANTS very effectively. I have two: 30 seconds each: INSIDE RAIL and UNSUSPECTED. Wish Kevin Burns, when he was alive, instead of just focusing on LOST IN SPACE, got those released. Now, we may never see those. And VOYAGEs, though VOYAGE's are available all over You Tube. GIANTS are pretty much lost other than those two.

Uncle Irwin rehired Dick Tufeld? I don't remember that. And reusing LIS music? Wow. But next week's episode looks like to be a must see!!

They really pulled out all the stops in the early episodes.

I loved this show back in the day! Now looking back.... attacking gopher and a rope spider web.........😂

I understand that even the last episode (plot) was lifted from the Lost In Space episode titled, "The Time Merchant".

Same music used in Allen's other TV shows (Lost In Space, Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea): RECYCLED! 😉

Don Marshall was never given his just dues in Hollywood and Television!

This should be a remake of a movie trilogy and they should show the crew and passengers at the airport before flight to London to show what starts off as a normal day on earth leads to a life changing situation in another world and environment.

They should make a new movie and the year could be 2083 . Lost in space has a new movie and the year when Family Robinson flew to to outer space it was the year 2057 . I´m talking about Lost in space was released in 1997 and Dr Smith was the actor Gary Oldman . This new movie is great ! The starship is another is a new one .

They really need to reissue this on DVD it was only available for a short time in the early 2000s both seasons in one set with a bunch of collectables ridiculously priced there are bootlegs out there I have seen them however I am amazed at the lack of an official re-release

Once you have one of them cornered capturing them would have been quite easy, considering how much quicker we would be than a six inch tall person. Also escape for someone that small would be impossible too. A birdcage hanging in my condominium 25 stories up would easily make a permanent home for one of them.

@@Greathall75 Many years ago on video tape someone had 16mm films of episodes and those were the only two on the back of even the wrong episodes. INSIDE RAIL and UNSUSPECTED. If you join LOG of the Spindrift group they are on there.

I'm no hopeful for that. Kevin Burns focuses ONLY on LOST IN SPACE. USA didn't even get the TIME TUNNEL when it came out on blu ray but the UK did.

Boy, they had it easy producing this series. They used musical motifs from Lost in Space. There was nothing remarkable about the characters or settings. All they needed to do was set the cameras on the ground to give the illusion of giants walking and jumping around and create a few oversize items for greater reality. Easy pizzy... 😂😂😂😂
