I remember this show well. I was a big enough fan to have a "Land of the Giants" lunchbox in both 1st and 2nd grade! Lol

Me too, during those same school years. I still have that lunchbox in mint condition. I hardly brought it to school afraid someone would steal it!

Great voice -- really added to the feel of that kind of thing. Man, TV was terrific back then. I'm glad I grew up when I did.

I love the noirish photography in this show, especially in the first season. It left a huge (no pun intended) impression on me as a kid; the shadowy images adding a truly ominous effect. Out of all the classic Irwin Allen TV shows, GIANTS was undoubtedly the most ambitious, and it's my favorite one hands down.

Promo gave it an almost film noir feel -- and it works!

The year, Nineteen- Eighty-Three. A spaceship, out of control. Headed for oblivion. An oblivion in a nightmare environment. Seven people must learn to survive, to live in future existence, in a land of Fantastic proportions! "Land Of The Giants"! In color.

I liked the Spin Drift space ship. That along with Star Trek's USS Enterprise and Voyage To The Bottom of the Sea's Flying Sub. They were the coolest plastic model kits back then.

Wow! We're really behind! No spaceship travel in 1983. No apes conquering earth in 1995. I'm still waiting for my one piece suit and flying car in 2023. 🤔

The year? 1983. A spaceship, out of control... Definitely should remake this show. You've got little people - which is a metaphor for the oppressed. They find themselves in a Giant's world, complete with an efficient, brutal, authoritarian government. But some Giants risk punishment of death to form a resistance - and to work with the Little People. A classic David and Goliath story - set in a cool science-fiction background. Action, drama, lots of interesting characters, set pieces, and, of course, fantastic effects - could make this show interesting. With today's political divisions - this kind of a show is an easy sell - with lots of potential, gripping stories to tell. The first big questions we would all be asking ourselves: Is the Giant's government facist left - or fascist right? Will the resistance succeed in overthrowing the government? This kind of show could be ratings gold if handled just right - a wild, political thriller - set in a Giant's world.

I'm doubting it would work; I don't think most fans would want to see another cast do it. That old cast was just too perfect.
