It's the best , and other progressive rock groups learned from this early punk/psych tune. When did it come out? Early 1966?

This is great. The lyrics are so effective and minimal and it's all about the the sense of urgency of the guitar careening like a siren and the dude pounding on his bass.

I cant believe this is here, wow, the lead guitar palyer was one of my best friends and lived a couple streets over. I remember when they were recording this stuff. This song was in the juke box in the pool hall in Westiminster! We were amazed, big time!

I remember when this was cut and when they played the Gazzari night club. They were not old enough to drink. I remember Jim Foster and his dad. His brother Mike was a good friend of mine in high school.( Westminster ). Too bad they turned down " Born to be Wild. As their producer didn't like the song. Well it became a huge hit. Wonder WHAT HAPPENED TO THE SONG THEY DID CALLED " FUNNY ". i LOVED GOING TO THEIR HOUSE AND WATCH THEM REHEARSE IN THE GARAGE.

I listen to this cause it's the best sounding, but the visuals have nothing to do with the band. It was an exploitation type movie, I forget the name, it always appeared as filler at the end of Something Weird Video tapes. Not a good representation for a band that turned down recording Born to be Wild for their record co. and became a big hit that made alot of money that they missed out on.
