This version of "Shireg Shireg" is my favorite because watching that elegant bowing is mesmerizing, and the bare-bones instrumentation really lets the subleties of the vocals shine. The only thing I miss from the CD version is the clink of the horse tack, but that's just because I love the walking-horse rhythm of this song. Still amazing to me that such a complete tapestry of sound comes from only seven strings total. Hearing this live is now a bucket-list item.

English Translation: Water your skewbald-maned sorrel foal By taking its snaffle bit Bear in your mind and heart The love of your hoary old father Ride along the side slopes Of blush brown stretching mountains Bear in your heart and mind The love of your old caring mother Shireg Shireg Shireg Shireg Foster your loyal steed In the depths of foreign land Befriend with the best of men Among the many of folks Feed your bow and arrow with the breeze Defend your crescent sword while dozing Have the sense to see the wicked evil Have the strength to overcome obstacles Shireg Shireg Shireg Shireg We bid farewell kissing your right cheek We'll kiss the left one when you return We, your elderly father and mother Will be waiting for your at-home (cradle land) via: copy

Perfect masters of their instruments. Perfect mastery of their vocals. Added to which are heart-stirring lyrics that need no translation. The HU with their Hunnu rock style are a great and grand gift for humanity! Thank you, SiriusXM, for this posting, and special thanks to Temka (tovshuur), Gala (blue morin khuur), Jaya (tsuur and tumur khuur), and Enkush (red morin khuur). All appreciation, from Texas.

@@kidsafe Not quite right. Lead vocalist Gala plays the _blue_ morin khuur and Enkush the _red_ instrument. (Although Temka's usual 3-stringed tovshuur is green, in this performance he's using a brown-bodied tovshuur.)
