@bruceberry. Right? It reminds me of what a museum guide once said about the aboriginal dotted paintings: some were doing their typical art about the dreamtime but with acrylic paint on modern canvas and became very popular and earned good money with art. But 'art professionals' still put their art in the 'folkloristic' category. It had completely developped into another art branche and was both modern and using things that were called 'folklore' or tribal or indiginious or what have you: meaning -Not white- . But then some master thesis was written about the correct terminology and now that modern aboriginal art was placed in some conceptual modern category not in the historic folklore category. Im like I dont care what its called its just the idea that cultures have new versions of their own legacies. And its not folklore but vivid alive and shape shifting and telling stories of this generation. / I also like European folklore used in a modern shape like Nightwish uses celtic sounds ('into the wild') or Within Temptation using gregorian background choirs.

Such a simple and incredibly melody. Their instruments are so beautiful and you can almost see the culture come alive through the instruments and the way they play them. I have always been fascinated with throat singing. I'm partial to Tibetan throat singing but Mongolian throat singing is beyond incredible to hear.
A timeless work of art that will bring pleasure and comfort to millions.

Thanks Hu for helping me get through a very dark time.

that demonstration part is crazy...
People in general: do not understand this, are fascinated by the novelty, or have the most visceral attraction to it. There is a calling here to a homeland that you didn't know was waiting.

It's amazing how with throat singing you can growl like a wolf or trill like a bird, hum like a theremin or thrum like a digeridoo. And sometimes all at once! I had no idea the human voice was capable of all that! The Hu were my introduction to throat singing fusions, and they are phenominal!
