The closest thing that I have heard to this is throat singers in Nunavut in the Canadian North. He is the most amazing.

Honestly, this guy is more of a master at his artform than any of those judges are at theirs.

are you kidding? I challenge you to listen to Guy sing "you know my name before I go" live, and then try to sing it, on key. Guy is a great singer, and Delta and Kelly are no slouch either.

the Horsehead fiddle may be one of the most hauntingly beautiful instruments on the earth, its just ethereal, the singer's voice is very clear as well even when throat singing. this is special.

The group The Hu play this instrument. They say when your proficient you can make the instrument neigh like a horse. It is a haunting beautiful sound.

Most have probably never heard throat singing and definitely not live. It must be surreal to see someone do this live in front of you.

This man who has mastered his art is being judged by pop idols who weren’t even top of their game.

Different strokes for different folks. Pop music has its place as does classical music. But sometimes I feel more connected to my place in the world through a well sung sea shanty, child soprano singing the Ave or this case a Mongolian folk song. Music of all kinds has value just depends on your taste. 😊

I am a wissened old 76 yr English guy, and that brings tears to my eyes.. The beauty of the human voice...

This is what I love about cultural music. While we may not know what is being said, something deep inside us moves and fills our soul. Whether dance or a song, it connects all of humanity. It is the universal song that we share.

This right here. My parents, more dad, loves to complain about not understanding what is said. But, even though the words escape me, the emotion conveyed is universal. The HU, Nightwish, Sonata Arctica, Sabaton...all amazing bands who have created in their native language and, even with the translations on screen, never changed the emotion conjured.

I don't think I've ever seen a judge thank someone so humbly for choosing them. This guy completely took over the room before he even started on the instrument.

There's just something so powerful about the sound of the fiddle blended with throat singing that touches something deep down in your spirit.

I legit cried for this performance. what amazing talent. Thank goodness people still pursue this art of Mongolian throat singing in the modern world.

If we take the music of our ancestors (regardless of nationality), then it causes an extraordinary response in our souls because it plays on their real strings, close to nature and nature. Lacking those technical capabilities, they used other means to access the hearts of listeners. And it does not depend on the times. And now goosebumps from such representations. This is real.

That’s the closest that audience and coaches will ever get to hearing and angel sing. That awakened something that’s been suppressed in soul for a long time. That was like being on a life long journey listening to him sing.

Beautifully said.

This is why music is so powerful. You can take something from a completely different culture written in a language you don't understand and be absolutely moved to the core by it. That was a truly beautiful performance.

It’s amazing to see people preserve their culture and share it with the world. This is awesome.

First saw this guy while bingeing on TED talks a few years ago, so pleased he's getting a bit of recognition, can't believe the coaches haven't heard these sounds before with the emergence of The HU.

It rains wherever this man plays his music, he made water appear in my eyes 🥺

All done without auto tune. A real talent!

I simply don't understand how a throat that isn't a priori physiologically different from mine can produce such a harmonious polyphonic sound. I also listened to other singers from Mongolia, men and women who master this vocal technique, they impress me, they fascinate me, but I still don't understand how it is possible to sing like this.

I love listening to Mongolian throat singers. Such talent!

I used to watch a lot of Mongolian throat singing (with plenty of songs that aren't really targeted for western audience - since everything is in Russian), and this guy is one of the best singers I've heard. His voice is so clean and the entire song sounds so pure. Felt like I was listening to a prayer, in a way.

I've listened to many of those, and this guy is just proper, mediocre at best. I'm surprised there's so much praise for him when pretty much anything else "in that style" is so much better.

Mongolian Throat Singing is magical! Mongolian musicians please share this unique, peaceful, connecting music with the world!!!

That arrangement was just perfect! Just a little taste of that instrument at the beginning and end, then a slice of his song and vocal prowess was enough to leave them in a clffhanger of awe.

Dang that was absolutely ethereal! What an amazing and talented singer. A rare talent indeed!

All you need is 2 string and bird vocal to play a masterpiece. Genius! Who would of thought.

OH MY GOD. I am sitting here crying. That is the most beautiful and haunting thing I have heard in years. I want this guys CD, I want to see this guy on stage - no matter where he is. Awesome

Always have loved Mongolian Throat singing.

I first saw Mongolia on The Grand Tour, and I just fell in love with the country. So beautiful, filled with a lot of amazing people. I one day wish to visit this beautiful country.

It took me back to Chifeng, and the great memories I have from the ten years I spent there and on the grasslands, and the wonderful Mongolian people I met It brought tears to my eyes.

I'm a grown man, sitting in my truck and this has just put a tear in my eye and covered me in goosebumps! Absolutely amazing 👏

He doesn't belong on The Voice. This guy is too wonderful for a cheesy TV show. He is a treasure!

I absolutely love Mongolia, I was there almost 20 years ago and just want to go back. It's an amazing place.

It's the two tone throat singing that blows them away but lets not ignore that they all turned around well before he started singing with it, this man is a flawless musician

I lived in Yugoslavia back in the late 70’s and heard hints of this style of singing and in the rhythms of the “kolas” danced in the public parks of Serbia. Then traveling to Finland, I heard hints of this type of harmony and vocal production. Listen to Värttinä and you’ll see what I mean. I share your exuberance for this unique singing style. Now - let’s talk Tuvan throat singing!!
