I remember The Housemartins being on some TV programme or other when this was out. The presenter said something about the spectacular dance moves, and asked them how long it took to learn them. The band just looked at him until they realised he actually meant it and said "about 30 seconds".

They were my favourite band when I was younger, and they had broken up way before I was born. I still love them now, and always will. One of the best things about liking old music is surprising everyone else that I know it, I'm only 14 after all.

🤍 🤍es I prefer him singing in this to beautiful south .though he did write some good songs . Here the housemarins tunes were written by the guy Stan Cullinore the guitarist and some by Paul.. Either way I prefer him lead singing here to the beautiful south ..though i do like the beautiful south..but not as much as this band ..paul still going solo I believe

They all went on to success. Paul Heaton and Dave Hemingway would become The Beautiful South, Norman Cook would become Fatboy Slim and of course Stan Cullimore would go on to break the British transfer record when Nottingham Forest sold him up Liverpool in 1995.

🤍 🤍es I prefer him singing in this to beautiful south .though he did write some good songs . Here the housemarins tunes were written by the guy Stan Cullinore the guitarist and some by Paul.. Either way I prefer him lead singing here to the beautiful south ..though i do like the beautiful south..but not as much as this band ..paul still going solo I believe

They all went on to success. Paul Heaton and Dave Hemingway would become The Beautiful South, Norman Cook would become Fatboy Slim and of course Stan Cullimore would go on to break the British transfer record when Nottingham Forest sold him up Liverpool in 1995.
