I can't get over the fact that Fatboy Slim was in this band... Go Norman! :)
One of my fav songs of the 80s. For some reason when I think of this song I always think of Jackie Wilson Reet Petite. I think they must have been around the same time.

You should see what some of the acts used to do to rebel on TOTP because they weren't allowed to sing live. TOTP famously required every act to lip sync.

This songs something that's just grown and grown on me ,Paul heaton has done the same ! If there's any1 anywhere that's stood up 4 his own like he has I'd like 2 know who ? From the 1st time I saw him god knows how many years ago he's impressed me no end ; a down 2 earth and very centred lad of real commitment; he was never up 4 the bullshit and glorious make believe superstar world that could make some of lesser credence grab on2 4 all their worth ? Well played Paul you're a diamond and nee bullshit just a brilliant man and a great exponent of a working class lad of great talent but a lad that's never 4gotten his roots ! Ya Ganna dee 4 me son I've been Ganna say this 4 a very Lang time considering I'm an owld rocker I love what you've done with your talent 👏👍🤗

The HM'S were young and credible, they could get away with purposely dressing down and still look cool as fuck. Unlike radio 1 djs who were never young, credible or cool and more than likely to abuse the kids, rather than inspire them. (JP the exception, he knew his place and role as a vehicle to expose the wealth of talent these small islands had to offer. Whilst retaining the look and persona of a much loved geography teacher.)
