Holy shit. After it ended I said out loud, to no one, “wow...that was awesome...it was fantastic.” I was taken aback by it. The 80’s vibe and music, the atheist experiencing a dream before she knocked on the door, never even knocking on the door in either state. The devil turning into her sister, back into human form and talking to her in that voice inches from her face...really, really, really awesome in all possible film manner. Production, actors, location, everything. I would love to see more of this story, before, after, and more of your work...past or future. Beautiful work.

For the Catholic Church to perform an Exorcism, one of the conditions is that all medical and psychological reasons for the behaviour of the "possessed" needs to ruled out. Hence the request for psychiatrist to evaluate the mother to eliminate or diagnose any mental illness. True possession is exceedingly rare and usually explained by schizophrenia or epilepsy.

I don't know about other denominations, but the Roman Catholic Church won't even consider an exorcism unless all other possibilities have been eliminated. For example, mental illness, epilepsy, dementia and so forth.

EXCELLENT. PERFECT LITTLE HORROR MOVIE. BEAUTIFULLY DONE IN EVERY WAY. SHOULD BE MADE INTO A MOVIE.

OMG!! How is this not on the trending page?!? I don't have the vocabulary to put into words as to how spine-chillingly amazing this short is!! Fantastically tense, the cinematography, the sound design, everything was spot on!

This was better than the hundreds of crappy horror flicks that are all over KZread!

Amazing short film !!! The atmosphere and sense of dread is spot on and leaves you wanting more ❤️❤️❤️

This is a gem.

This needs a part 2. I loved everything about this short. Story, acting, music, the mild but spine tingling jump scares… This could legitimately be a full movie.

Anyone can write a great story without a conclusion. Like I always say. An ending is the hardest part of a story.

The psychiatrist didn't deal with the hostility from the man very well. They are taught techniques to resolve conflict with family members and patients almost from day 1 of training. She certainly wouldn't snigger when he challenged her for her beliefs. Still, I enjoyed this; very good!!

Not One of the Best Shorts I've Seen, the BEST I've ever seen. Great Job!

Damn that scared me as much as the exorcist did. I was raised Pentecostal and my grandmother would always showing me these pamphlets of overseas missionaries performing exorcisms and she told me on several occasions that a demon had been running around her bed so that kind of stuff has always freaked me out from an early age. Well done horror short. Thanks for scaring the living shit out of me!!! Keep making great shorts! 😏 😈

A powerful, riveting film of what might change the mind of a former atheist into believing of the unexpected.. With equally paralyzing results. This is exactly the opposite concept of what ‘The Exorcist’ is all about. A completely spectacular film that will keep you second guessing until at the last moment.

That was fantastic. I really hope this story continues!

Absolutely spell binding!

Doc Michael's threw Stevens all the way under the damn bus. This is basically Father Merrin blowing off Pazuzu and sending Karras instead. Stevens is emotionally vulnerable and guilt ridden over her sister's death. Just like Damien was about his Mom, wasn't an atheist but dealing with a crisis of faith. Kudos to the actor playing the devil, he nailed it.

Well done! Excellent take on a tired trope. You really know how to tell a story! The tension just kept building and building - so good! Leaves me wanting more! ! !

I know this is from 2 years ago but I just saw this recently. That actor is Nick Thurston. He’s an amazing actor, he was in a movie called Reviving Ophelia, good movie

Not particularly religious myself but what really scares me about angels and demons is how charming, or especially good looking, they can seem to be if they wanted to. Think Nick Thurston totally killed it here, the whole vibe wow good choice on the casting

Brilliant! Saying a lot with so little - this is one very scary film.

This is really nice work, professional in every way. If it's a proof of concept piece, I want to see more. You're ready to go with a bigger piece.

Maybe this is short but it has a great dark atmosphere especially when the conversation take place. And i love when a director choosing the devil theme in their film.

That was awesome! I swear the mom looks like another ghostly character in another horror short.

This was very well done with very involved acting, a spot on pacing, set design, even the open title typography...and of course the fright factor. Wow. Would like to see where else this goes. I bet the main female character starts to question her atheism since science certainly can't explain everything. The spiritual realm (good/holy and bad/evil sides) are a reality.

This was absolutely the best short I have watched simply ever! I was blown away totally blown away like I can’t even think right now! I was freaking out because the intro was so big and confusing and I’m like why so much for just a 12 minute film and then I’m like oh my gosh that’s why so much for 12 and a film!!!!!

Ok. I'm fucking impressed. That was a boss little film. Unassuming. Terrific. Nearly terrifying in it's simplicity. Bravo.

‘The House Call’ is right up my alley.Thinking it merely a nod to Friedken/Blatty’s masterpiece, the film took an unexpected turn when I realised to whom Dr.Stevens was actually speaking at the house. Edit: Slick production/direction/acting with demonic elements = SOLD.

One of my all time favorites. Since I saw it for the first time. Occasionally I go back to it and watch it again and again. I want to see more! The demon character is simply amazing and actor fits just best.

Excellent short

Saw the exorcist as a kid when it came out in the theaters. Could only only get myself to see it one more time 20 yrs later. Now I saw this vid, I think I’m done. Great job!
