Like the way she pointed out how nobody ' killed ' Jesus, they put him in the position to die but he did only when all was completed. The scourging was supposed to be more than any man had endured, yet he lived. That did not kill him. The crucifixion itself put him in position to die, but not until he was ready. The soldiers spear did not kill him, he was already dead. It was the proof he was already dead of his own accord. Another point - the gall mixed with myrrh for mild sedative to help them deal with shock , he didn't want any but the vinegar I don't believe was for thirst but rather to clear their mouth and throat. If you have ever done anything that causes a lot of heavy breathing sometimes it makes you salivate and actually ' foam at the mouth '. After being dehydrated and breathing - gasping crazily for hours your mouth would be all messed up. I believe the vinegar was on hand to clear the mouths of prisoners so that they might be able to confess their deeds and other such words. Jesus mumbled " Eloi Eloi " and they wanted to see if he was calling Elias. They cleared his mouth and throat so he could then proclaim " it is finished " before he gave up the ghost. Everything was there for a special purpose.

What I have found over the years is so many people, particularly Christians that believe that Jesus and the two thieves were the only ones crucified, or that Jesus was the only one ever ' nailed ' to the cross. I have many times had to point out that the Roman guards coming to break the legs , particularly the ' one with the spear ' were the ' coroner's ' and ' record keepers ' that dealt with the finalizing of crucifixion. In John 19: 34 it says " but one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. John 19:35 and he that saw it bare record, and his record is true; and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe." That we might believe that Jesus did indeed come back from death. The coroner examined him and he was truly dead ' for some time '. The man was dead before the coroner arrived. Like she said, nobody came down from a Roman crucifixion cross with any life left.

This would be worth watching if the following was true: It wasn't about someone you can't prove. It wasn't on Answers in Genesis. It wasn't about someone who, if he existed, could choose not to feel pain.

Aside from the agonising physical pain of crucifixion, the Romans also ensured that those they condemned to death by crucifixion, endured the most degrading death possible. To this end they routinely stripped the condemned completely naked. The condemned were stripped for their scourging and remained stark-naked thereafter, both for their parading to the place of execution and the excruciatingly protracted death that followed on their cross. The condemned were not afforded the modesty of a loincloth, as discretely depicted by artists since the Renaissance, instead they faced the horrors of crucifixion intentionally stripped of every last trace of human dignity by the Roman authorities.

And because the crucified had to constantly push up and slump in order to alternatively breathe and relieve the exhausted leg muscles, the fiendish Romans added an abominable device called the _acuta crux, sedile, sedilis excessus,_ and street names like _palus, cornu, keras, skolops,_ and more obscene names that have been lost, and it's purpose was crucifixion by penetration. This made crucifixion most shameful.

The Possible 7 Deadly Wounds of Christ 1 Agony in the Garden. Such trauma intense enough to cause blood flow from the pores of the skin could easily result in a heart attack in a normal man. 2 Scourging. It is my understanding that scourging itself was known to cause death at times. Having such a skin flaying process on skin heavily sensitized by the agony in the garden could easily have produced intense shock and death. 3 Crowning with thorns. Sources indicate that 3 of the thorns were mortal in and of themselves. So thorn 1. 4 Thorn 2 5 Thorn 3 6 Nailing to the Cross would have been unbelievably painful, but according to the saints [and mentioned in Old Testament] is in His case the limbs were also dislocated [likely by temple guards] . Here again the shock upon shock could easily induce heart attack and death. 7 Finally there is the actual death of Christ … at His command, in His timing … to prevent His legs from being broken. [Also a fulfillment of Old Testament scripture] I note that 7 is oftentimes considered a complete number. [ 7 death situations ] I note that 3 is considered a number reflecting the trinity. [3 deadly thorns] This student thinks it likely the above is true; however if the authority of the church and our Lord dictate otherwise, then obviously I stand corrected.

God is completely holey and thus, He cannot excuse sin. Sin comes with the price of death (shedding of blood). Genesis 3:21; Hebrews 9:22; John 3:16 and 19:30... fully reconciled by the Blood of Jesus Christ, God's Son and perfect Lamb (born of a virgin, Jesus didn't inherit Adam's sin). Romans 10:9.

According to what I learned none of the land masses ever moved anywhere. The great flood occurred when the earth split like the seams on a baseball and high pressure water shot out. That is where all the deep parts of the ocean are and the land masses on either side of the ocean look like they might fit together. They did not ' float around ' like little boats.

@@rickmarti77 I don’t think it matters. Where she went to school. People who were crucified were meant to suffer. Jesus’s death would have been quick with nails. Going against the entire purpose of crucifixion which most people crucified died of thirst, exposure and the inability to breath in the position. At 6:00 she makes my point. No one would sweat blood having nails driven through their feet and hands or wrist. They would die of blood loss before sweating blood due to stress.

Nails were scarce !!!!! Yet there was a lot of iron and steel for roman chains, swords, spears and chariots. The Roman Iron Age (1-400 AD) is a part of the Iron Age. Christ was crucified in 33 AD.
