I did exactly the same. I was 14 years old. I nearly had it memorized. Although I haven't seen it in 25 years, I can still remember so much of the narration. Wow! Such great memories.

Same here. Parents recorded it and I wore it out. I learned how to do a skyhook shot when I was seven years old from watching this doc.

Good documentary, but no mention of the ABA? They did a lot to eventually change the NBA (the three-point shot, a more wide-open style of basketball, not to mention four of its teams and its best players joining the NBA).

In the inner city of on hardwood NBA floor. There more places then that to play. On the side of barns in ten dirt in rural America to parks in the suburbs...bball is played everywhere..don't forget who created the game..it was a Candian but it's an American Game.

Kareem not yet reached the pinnacle of his career in Milwaukee? Please. He was the most dominant center in the league from day one with the Bucks & in all 5 seasons he played there including NBA MVP awards in 1971, 1972 & 1974. The 1971 Bucks were hardly even mentioned in this documentary yet they were one of the greatest teams in NBA history. To say that Kareem didn't reach his peak until he arrived in LA is pure rubbish! Who writes this nonsense!
