Where is Old Novgorod dialect? It was characterized by a number of differences from Old East Slavic (Old Russian), and in some respects from all other Slavic languages. For example, it lacks effects of the second and third palatalization of velars. Old Church Slavonic: цѣлъ /cělŭ/ Old East Slavic: цѣлъ /cělŭ/ Old Novgorodian: кѣле /kæle/ Proto-Balto-Slavic: *kailas

You can add region of romania to this because in ancient times dacian and thracian spoke a language of our balto-slav family. Romanian is just a latinised version thracian. If you don’t want to include them in the maps of recent times ok, but atleast in the ancient part thracia and dacia should be added

I don't believe the Balto-Slavic joint origin. Baltic languages are more similar to German, Finnish and Swedish languages than to Slavic. It is based on totally wrong and stupid theory, that Slavs came to Europe in 6th century from today's Belarus, which is not true. But I believe that Slavic language was the closest one to Proto-indoeuropean language, and it is origin of all European languages. So Slavic language was the first European language!! I provide you with Examples (that are real today's words): (I am using Slovak language as it has the most originally Slavic words.) Slovak: more (more-mare-mar-mer) Italian: mare Latin: mare French: mer German: meer Lithuanian: jura Latvian: jura --- Slovak: meno (meno-nome-name) Italian: nome Latin: nomine English: name French: nom German: name Lithuanian: vardas Latvian: nosaukums --- Slovak: rieka English: river French: riviere Lithuanian: upe Latvian: upe --- Slovak: voda English: water [votr] German: wasser Lithuanian: Latvian: udens As you can see, even English is closer to Slavic words than Baltic languages.
