Machinima's downfall was a tragedy, However, I'd say it was probably one of the better downfalls they could have been given. Better for it to die off quietly than be the subject of some grand scheme or controversy. Something of that nature.

I'm pretty sure there was some controversy about their methodology amongst the creators. I remember SeaNanners talking about it when he left Machinima.

I've been deep in the shit with my recently incurred obsession with Neebs Gaming and I can thankfully say their fans have been consistently telling them how damn badly they want BFF to come back. They're very much aware there's a demand for it with 2042. Hopefully they carry through and satiate our thirsts.

@@diehardGG I'm not versed in KZread legal shits (obviously, given how I just worded it) but could they do less direct things like a match playthrough wherein each of them uses their BFF persona? No animation and maybe no direct labeling but still the spirit is there? Hmm... I mean, honestly I just want them to do SOMETHING with 2042. Even if it's just them talking over their gameplay footage. They're funny guys and I'd rather listen to them talk over BF than Ark or Rust.

Why has the third and fourth season been taken down?

I still love the Neebs crew. I hated that the BFF thing fell apart, but at this point bringing it back couldn't be the same. Their new style grew on me and the personalities from the BFF series almost perfectly transfer into every other game. Neebs is competent, Simon is still incompetent, Dora is still just kinda there and Appro is just a legend in every way.

As a long time fan since BFFs I never thought I'd have the honor of making art for Neebs in the past few years but I am so happy that happened. My last project was their current YT banner commissioned by Neebs. The return of BFFs has been mentioned many times even in their streams. Having it return would be near impossible because of the whole mess with Machinima. The BFFs videos are archived somewhere, and I still have copies of it myself. But who knows if it will even come back. I've given up on hoping, and the showrunners of Neebs Gaming have too many future animated projects to have enough time to pursue this. Besides they did say they were a bit creatively limited by the source material they were working with when it came to Battlefield. Them and a small minority, me included, would be more ecstatic about the return of Doraleous and Associates. But even then, they would have to dig from their own pockets to have that happen.

Battlefield friends was actually a fun way of addressing issues with the game and fan base and I thoroughly believe the main reasons bf one and v had issues with their design was because neeb and Co didn't point out what was wrong. Arby n chief became independent, Jon is still making content so Idk what he did in order to gain creative control again

I literally watched this for the first time today then binged all the BFF’s only to find out they are coming back! I had no hope and now hope has been restored! I feel like I have been PROMOTED!!

BFFs was SO iconic that when I whiched job roles at work, so many years later I still screamed PROMOTED.

Thick44 beated cancer. Recently I just thought you should know, he battled it. And won.

to be fair, DICE and EA should buy BFF's rights as a marketing strategy and support Neebs Gaming, players would win, EA/DICE would win and Neebs Gaming would continue to do what they love.

Really underrated content dude! That last part hit home as I had to acouple years ago give up something that I loved doing. I'm sure once 2042 is released your channel will pick up!✌

I don't even play Battlefield, but I love Battlefield Friends. The writing and characters behind Battlefield Friends is so universally great that even some of my nongaming friends enjoyed watching it. Personally I wish the crew there all the best in their pursuits (And health/recovery).

I’ve never watched your channel, this video just came on my feed. But I really like how you structured it and explained in detail what the series was so anyone could watch the video and understand what was going on. The best part was the touching ending which really spoke to me. Will definitely be looking more into your videos and your channel, looking forward to discovering more awesome video and content!

I've been following the Neebs crew for a little more than 6 years. By far my favorite KZread channel. They put so much effort into their work and value their community. None of this information was new to me. But I love seeing them get recognized as I feel like there very underrated. No, it won't happen. Going off of their previous statements it's not in their thought process. The whole cancer thing won't help and I respect that they won't come back. Everyone wanted Guns and Roses to come back until they did. The crew found a new way. The people who loved them for them will continue to watch, but I'm not sure how they grow.

When they were talking about feeling like they "missed the boat" with BF1, they were referring to gameplay videos they used to do with the BF series, not Battlefield Friends.

Sadly the voice actor for Recon Thick44 Tony Schnur had passed away from cancer.

I got squaded up with Neebs and crew a few times playing BF4 on Xbox360. I never saw myself on the channel and saddest of all, I was never in the group chat while playing :( But even though I had to guess what we were doing as a squad, I was just happy to be playing with those guys. And they were really good if anyone was wondering.

BFF is absolutely hilarious. I hope Neebs can do more in the future.

First time viewer. Just subbed. I kinda figured that's how it went. Stoked that the boys at Neebs premiered the ressurection of BFFs a week ago. Everything in this video is spot on. They day Machinima died, was one of the saddest days of my life

Hank and jed are amazing. Doralious and associates is crisp

Remember when Battlefield 4 multiplayer trailer comes out and then an atv suddenly show up from elevator only to hit the helicopter, you can hear clearly neebs screaming out loud "Promoted!"

most epic bf moment for me was taking out a frogfoot with the usas12 with explosive slugs as it came swooping down trying to gun me it blew up in to pieces falling all around...that week they released that episode and i felt pure joy because i myself experienced that feeling...🤣 i can not wait for them to release new episodes this fall....always loved their content

They deserved to be recognized by Dice themselves and get their own cameos and easter eggs in the games. I'm hyped that BFF is returning!

Welllllll, I don't know about...

They literally made me get into Animation... i started BF animations a couple months ago and I love doing them. On reddit alot of ppl bring up BFF and how they miss it ...sad to see how it turned up ...really look up to them I hope hes feeling better and hope one day we can see them return ...maybe ill be bigger and can to a collab with them one day...that would literally be a dream str8 up

Whenever a gaming series I love is gone, I look into why and 9 out of 10 times, almost always comes back to Machinima.

i actually met all of them on gamescom playing BF1, super cool guys all of them, they even all gave me autographs on a gamescom shirt!

They posted today and confirmed there will be BFF 2042.

This channel is underrated and under-viewed. The quality of your videos is top-notch good sir! I think your channel is only going to grow after 2042 launches!

I've been watching Neebs Gaming series' on ARK, 7D2D and many other games for a couple years now and while BFF is still classic gold for them, they really came into their own with all the new content. They have talked about doing a series with BF 2042 but not as an animated series like BFF but more of a "lets play" style of game. It is all going to depend on the style and makeup of the new game.

While it sucks not having new episodes, not being able to watch ANY of the past stuff is just plain fucking stupid.

I just got the C100 in battlefield 4 after all these years and good god have i never felt happier about a game lmao. I miss that shit so much, and even though they have good videos still its a damn shame we probably wont see another Doralingus and associates or BFFs

All there animated series are pure gold 💛

I think the main reason was that they simply no longer wanted to make BFF, and like you said, they just didn't know how to tell the audience that. I loved BFF and I hope they make other great things in the future, whether it be gaming videos or animations.

This series is the reason I started playing battlefield

Neebs gaming stated that bf1 and bfv where not good battlefield friends games and wanted to wait for a modern game. Then they stated money was a issue so they made a gaming channel to bring back animation. Allso in case some people dont know. Thick the one who plays as the sniper ended up getting a tumor a few months ago. He is doing alright but its hard for them though.

Any sort of hint or trailer for BFF 2042 would be beyond epic.

There was actually a plan at one time for the guys to be in a Battlefield movie or TV series, this was direct from Jon. I am assuming that got scrapped as its been years now. I used to see him at our local gamestop fairly regularly back then.
