I was taking the bus this morning and I swear I saw Ted, I asked him for a photo and he took off his mask, revealing his searing rage at the thought of being recognized on public transport and he used his sumo wrestling techniques to throw me out of the window of the bus into oncoming traffic, he's such a nice guy 🥰

It is absolutely insane how athletic sumos actually are. They're built like tanks, but remember that these guys can actually throw each other too.

I have had two coaches who were very different but both pushed me to where I am today. One was what you describe he was kind and always was saying how well I was doing. And one that yelled and pushed and was harsh. Both worked wonders for me

If you look into it, sumo is taken quite seriously in Japan. There’s a surprising amount of pride and passion put into it more so than any American sport I’d say. It’s genuinely a way of life for them which is really cool cuz sumo is usually seen as just the funny “haha big man slap other big man” sport in media.

Just remembered this shit we use to do with man A in center of the ring, and man B, C, D, alternate wrestling man A for 15 min. did this for 2 hrs, then ran suicides for 30 min. Damn I don't miss practice

Suggestion: Ted Nivison learns ballet or aerial silks. Reason: I used to do ballet and want to see how people who have never done ballet compare to professionals Also that leaning stretch he couldn't do... a lot of us can go completely flat to the ground. Back straight and toes turned out.

My brother actually “wrestled” Yama at a summer camp once. That was hilarious
the fact that he persevered through the pain, and did a great job against a top athlete. he is a badass.

Yamamotoyama had an interesting career in professional sumo, although a short lived one. He reached the top division where he stayed for a few tournaments but only managed a few winning records before falling in ranks. I’m not sure, but I’m guessing it’s that being so heavy is more of a detriment than a benefit after a certain point. He was forced out of the association for involvement in match fixing when that was still prevalent in sumo and that was the end of his professional career.

I was really hoping this video would take a turn into him explaining how he has been training at the sumo gym.
It happens to the best of us Ted, you aren’t alone. He comes for all of us, we will all sumo wrestle him at one point
