Thank you for taking me to your utopia. I could watch and listen to that ALL DAY LONG. Drilling a ball and the hum of a lane machine on an early Sunday morning are my favorite sounds.

Missed the live post. Looked further down and found the answer to why #13. Beautifully done. Can not wait to view the comparison video. Mahalo NIck.

cool vid sir, i have seen this done more times than i can remember but its nice to have it available for the public so it’s understood the thought and mathematics that go into these pieces of equipment

I never thought I could sit through watching a ball laid out and drilled, but this was fascinating. It ended before you did the final finger insert though. Question: Why did you drill that small hole right above the ring finger?

no insert on other finger on his sarge grip. and he doesnt like finger popping out of the hole noise so he drills a 1/8" vent hole.

Yep, the video was done. No grip for conventional ring finger. Ryno is correct on the vent hole.

Bowling and ASMR When worlds collide

Your layout intrigues me, and the more I think about it... IT makes sense. Like, my middle finger is longer, why would they be even? Granted, I am pretty sure they aren't even, but it's not that drastic.

Because the ring finger is conventional span.

So far from learned about my bowling style. I am a med to high tilt and low rotation bowler 12 to 15 mph depends and 280-320 rev. I'm struggling big time. I start great then second and third games i go downhill. I think its becauee i am using only one ball zen soul. I have 2 other balls i drilled one and the other needs drilled. Should i be using more than one ball in league? Im still not sure what order i would even use my mine and or what balls i should get I want 5 balls just so i can switch them herr and there. What would be good balls for me? High/lower rg, or diff help.

So I can have the ring finger extra snug and not make that popping noise upon release

13lbs, cool that is what I usually throw... either that or 14lbs, depending on how I feel that week.

wait do you normally throw 13? if not why did you choose to drill one up?

Vent hole. Yes, it’s legal.

Nick, Ive never used a switch grip thumb. A vid of setting one up would be interesting. Can you copy or make a mold of an existing thumb thats perfect for the insert??

We’ve done an install video on Ultimate’s Facebook - facebook.com/watch/?v=2032747150088710 And yea, you can get a blank inner and put a mold in it. But if you can get one thumb fitting perfect then you don’t really need to go the mold route.

It’s the dual angle layout method. Once you have it mapped out and measure back from the PAP to get the center of grip then you draw the grip centerline and bisect the span in half to get your finger placement.

For your middle finger, when you drill shallower first with the wider guage bit and then deeper with a smaller bit: is that for a vacugrip?

@brunsnick Does the Brunswick Quest triple tote have zipper pulls that open from both ends or is it stitched/fixed on one side like the DV8 Tactic? Shop doesn't have one in my area and I surprisingly couldn't find a single image, listing, or video of the thing that specified anywhere. Thanks in advance.

How do you get by the rule for having to put a finger in every hole drilled in the ball with a 1/8" hole? Doesn't it make ball illegal?

No. Vent holes are allowed.

There is an exception for the vent hole. Doesn’t change the ball enough to be considered a weight hole

@@markkonopatzki5097 i came back to bowling after 20 years and started with a 13# twist, Ive made my way back up to 15 but still use that 13 as a spare/straight ball or when im tired sore or its stupid dry on a sunday night. I can strike with it but it's kinda light for me to open with I need that extra weight to keep my arm and wrist straight

I'm just here for the comment section..: Oh, whats with the hole, only 13lb.. why this, why that..?? SMH. When you learn to let the ball do the work for you.. at any age, then you get some nice scores. Find what works for YOU and make your honor scores.. When you learn bowling is a 'life time sport'.. then, THEN you get to enjoy how 'easy' it is.. IMO
