I don't think the harsh criticism is warranted on the amp or the video audio. The NAMM videos sound great. The amp maker started in 1988, he might know a thing or two from designing and building amps over the past 30 years. New guitar amp speakers take awhile to break in, they all sound brittle when new. The amp has a lot of knobs to tweak for one's Tone Pallet, I can imagine it'd take some time to dial in. May have to RTFM. Video is probably the mic placement. Mic looks be a Sennheiser e609 somewhat away from the amp (it's not up near the cloth grill) and possibly on an angle, which likely affected the audio tone recorded by the mic. KZread upload compresses the audio as well. I've played dozens of amps, they all take some time to learn how to dial them in. Every guitar speaker is voiced (eq'd) for a specific tonal range and wattage. Jensen speakers have a certain sound to them, very bright Fender blackface clean, sometimes on the ice pick shrill side depending on your guitar pickups. You can easily change any amp's tone by swapping the speakers to your preference. Just my .02

I've played guitar for going on 35 years and no other amplifier has ever spoken to me like this amp. I have Marshalls , Fenders, Randalls, and Boss amplifiers in the house, and nothing equals the basic tones of this amp. Looking forward to getting my own. Fantastic tonescape. THE GOAT!

If anybody gets one of these ... try a 2X12 Alico Blue'd speaker extension cabinet. I put and AB switch for the speakers only so I can choose the 10"cabinet speakers or the 12" Alnico Speakers, or BOTH! WOW!!!!!!! This is the setup I've always been looking for!!!

Paul, respectfully, what happen to the audio of this video? I love Greg's music; pre-orded his latest CD; put his pickups in my Tele and wanted [desperately] to like this amp. Unfortunately, it sounds thin and harsh here. Sounds like you shelved off a lot of bottom end as well. Thankfully, I popped on to a Premier Guitar video in which the sound was "better" to my ear. Just curious if there was a production issue, or is this video truly indicative of the amp? Thanks. Love the vids.

@ lv pg : After reading your post I went to another video that Greg did on this amp. While I don't know what's going on here, the amp sounded much better on the other video. Just sayin'. Or maybe this amp just isn't for you. There's nothing wrong with that.

An awesome guitarist and an awesome amp. I wish I was was 1/100th as good a guitarist as Greg. However, I'd prefer 2-12's instead of 2-10's. Louder more options but heavier.

I bought one of these. It FINALLY arrived and I didn't like it. Reverb circuit sounded like crap. I think Greg and the manufacturer may be suffering from high frequency hearing loss. This really does happen with these cats, hence the Leo Fender quest for shrill. With some refinement it could be a great amp. Sent it back. I may buy 2.0 if there is one.

Not sure about Greg, but my father's hearing is indeed that of an old man (nearing 72 now). Not sure if that's the problem however, this amp has gone through many test phases. Always feel free to send your feedback to them, they're always open for it and are always looking to perfect their amps and other products.

Sounds super muddy to my ears and the overtones sound all over the place. Almost sounds like a modeling amp from the late 90s. Weird choice for a guitar player who is usually pretty bare bones.

Sounds like shit. I say that as a huge fan of Greg. Machine gun on the Strat sounded okay, otherwise a bit of a disappointment considering Greg is such an amazing musician. (EDIT: not his playing, the amp)
