Every time you start to think you've gotten pretty good on the guitar, listen to Greg Koch and weep. ;-)

It’s the draw to getting a Tele style guitar that drives me mad . Greg sounds so great and I know I’m not the greatest Tele fan and TBH the Reverend is out of my price range but there must be a middle ground . 👍

@@daviddalziel884 Reverend actually has affordable prices but Fender classic vibes or even the MIM is using american pickups in a lot of them. Go find used online though is my best advice. You can find something great for next to nothing that someone just needs to get rid of. Happy hunting

J S had my eye on a Korean Fender lite ash which has Duncan designed pickups but it needed a set up at least so backed off . Need to try a few MIM and Classic Vibes 👍

I love Greg Koch! His playing uses elements from multiple musical genres, country, blues, rockabilly, jazz, funk you name it, it's all there proudly on display. Talk about waving your freak flag high! In addition to that he's a master player and craftsman, always challenging but at the same time, pleasing our ears. He's the Gristle King Baby!! long live the King.

I had the pleasure of seeing Greg live and in person from the front row in a club a few weeks ago. Good lord......what a tone and chops that either inspire or make you want to quit. He seriously is as good a guitar player as anyone on the planet. His mastery of many styles makes his guitar style very unique. No pedalboard, mainly guitar and amp. His use of the tone and volume knobs as well as the pickup selector switch gives him all he needs. His signature guitar and amp are great pieces of gear. He is really on to something and i'm glad Koch amps and Reverend Guitars are letting him design stuff and do his thing. A true master of the teliocaster. Misspelled on purpose. You're welcome!

it does kinda suck cause there have been times when both have done innovative stuff & the established customer bases have been non-receptive, majority of people buying those two want the classics. I like what the Fender Pro series is doing, the Vintera Modified & the Modern Collection from Gibson they’re all on the $1000+ end tho sadly haha

Hey, like the man said.. "You've got 300 hrs to figure it out". So, if you forget to charge the battery within 2 years time and if it dies in the middle of a show.. Suits you right! C'mon man, it isn't rocket science. 🙄 However, one day, it probably will die, eventually.. so maybe pickup a spare battery for a decade down the road. Win - win. I have a set in my Tele and they sound great! I don't anticipate any problems, but YMMV. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've had my GK pickups for about 3 years now. They take so long to need a charge, I generally lose the charging cable between charges. I play the guitar daily and charge it about 3 times per year. If the battery-thing concerns you - don't let it. You actually forget about it. They sound great, look like Tele pickups and completely remove any suspect electronics from your guitar. The absolute best thing you can do to an inexpensive Tele.
