The harmonic tremolo was a great idea, as was the effects loop with a parallel option. One of the most versatile amps I've seen for everything short of heavy rock.

He gets great tones from it. He says it's a 1/2w power tube, but the specs only lists 6 x 12AX7. A 12AX7 generally produces ~1/2W in a guitar amp, so I suspect that's all it is.

Sounds fantastic. The LP sounded wonderful, but the real surprise was with the Fenders. The Start sounded thin and glassy compared to the might of the Telecaster. A more stark comparison I've not seen....

The OTS is sweet. I love it on the clean channel.

I swear this will be the first "real" amp that I ever buy. Except for the tube amps at university I've only played second hand solid state amps so far which are very good for what they do but I just want the pushed tube sound that this thing has. Has so far been the best amp I've ever heard

I have Greg's Stevie Ray lessons on DVD and he nails all the Steve Ray licks and tricks, a fun DVD to watch ....I have still yet to nail any of of it . Greg is a great guitar teacher , I suck as a guitar player but I will not quit making noise . I'm still looking for that one pedal that will make me play better, never mind applying hours of practice . love the amp .

Very good amp. Reverb is fantastic. It is also very quiet.

Best player I've ever known. Used to see him all the time when I worked at Uncle Bob's in Milwaukee. GRISTLE! :D

I bought a fender SOOPERSONIC thanks to you. I wanted a Greg but jeez Louise! Does that price come with lubrication? The rest of the Koch line isn't to bad, but settled on the Fender. Which I love.

Gorgeous. Getting Koch amps in Australia has been a virtually impossible task for many years. 🥺

They've packed about every analog feature you could ask for into this amp. If you can only have one amp, this is a great choice unless you are going for high gain metal tones.

Cool amp Greg! If your still looking for the amp with a MORE knob... Lee Jackson XLS1000 will fit the bill! though its an 80 type of sound but the clean channel is very black face.

A les paul ? You can of course rock anything just never seen you with a LP.But the Amp... Beautifully built sounds great and the color is perfect 👌.I tend to play combo amps so love that also.

Not sure I'd have gone with EL34's for it, but there are some good options there. The new TAD Redbase EL34 sounds very much like a Mullard XF3-- round and more-open/less-compressed than other EL34's. It might also be nice with 6CA7 or KT77. Either of which beam tetrodes are less-compressed and have clearer highs than EL34.

Awesome amp! Seems like a fabulous kind of super Dumble amp. I'd prefer 12" speakers instead of 10" speakers. 10' are not as efficient (loud) as 12's. Would add more weight but worth it in my opinion. Wish I could play 1/50th as good as Greg.
