Thank you for a soothing and calming podcast. Your podcasts are a port in the storm we are presently living in. Stay safe and healthy! 😊
Oh how I love your podcast Katie! It gives such peace, especially at a time like this, between your gentle voice, the beautiful scenery on your rambles with Jack, the amazing music and of course your artistry and making. Thank you for sharing and please stay safe!
🤗 Thank you Katie, I always enjoy spending time with you and Jack! Take care and stay safe.
Beautiful podcast and the theme song is played so wonderfully this time, with new instruments such as the violine, it brought tears to my eyes. Thank you so much Katie.
I really love you calm and gentle podcasts Katie! The views over Dartmoor and your crafty content all enhanced by the most glorious music is just beautiful in every way! A heartfelt thank you.
I am always blown away by the stunning beautiful countryside you take us along to. It is simple and yet very dramatic. And so wonderfully empty! Do you drive to get there or is most of it in walking distance from where you live? I loved to see you spinning! How wonderful! I have not done it yet, but my friend is absolutely into it and produces really nice yarn. So great that you are trying out all these things! My mother and grandmother taught me how to mend socks when I was a child... I remember how my mom used to mend everything, but with the coming of cheaper clothing and their need to have a simpler live, mending slowly became obsolete. But you are right, it is a wonderful, precious skill to acquire! Best wishes for you! Greetings from Bavaria, Germany!

Thank you Karin. Most walks I share are a short drive away from our house. We're very lucky to live close to the national park.
Hi . Really enjoy all you podcasts. During this time of being indoors more often. Except for a bit of shopping and a walk. I have managed to make three new summer dresses as well as finishing knitting a cardigan. Crafters have been in practice for times like this. Take care keep safe. X
As a landscape painter, I enjoy your beautiful scenery as you walk your precious little Jack. I knit the same as you. Picking is so much more ergonomic and comfortable for me. I don't understand why everyone doesn't try it as well. Stay healthy
Only just found your podcast and just want to say thank you. I also live in Devon and feel very fortunate at this difficult time to be in such a beautiful place, with a love of all things woolly and having the time to slow down and spin and knit to my hearts content. Thank you for your inspiration.
Wonderful, Katie! You look so joyful in this podcast! I love "walks with Jack" and love seeing all your projects. Thank you so much for sharing your life with us. Take care and be well!
Beautiful music and scenery! Loved getting to know you and watching you creating stamps and working on other projects. TFS the inspiration and creativity!
I love that you've added a mending section. I'm right with you with not coming to mending so naturally, but making a concerted effort have it be a regular part of my making. It's nice to take the time to think about a past project as well. We're constantly learning from them. Wonderful to see you spinning! Yes, it is part of our collective muscle memory. When I first sat down at a spinning wheel, it felt like I had been a spinner in a previous life. I've never felt that way about anything else even remotely. Ooh, and the "murky green"! A match made in heaven. :)
Thanks for the visit. I love the winged creature fabric for your next shirt.
I love you and Jack so much. I was so delighted to see that you had a episode ready. You mean so much to me and others. I just want you to know that. Humbly in Chicago Sunbina
Lovely episode thank you.. I love your hair like this Katie it's suits you face shape x
Thank you for another wonderful time spent with you and Jack
Thank you for this lovely, inspiring episode and the beautiful music.
Hello Katie. I just came across your lovely podcast. Absolutely soothing, calming, just what we need these days. I'm a knitter from Vancouver Canada, and also like to do embroidery. I'm a retired English teacher and love to read a lot too. Congratulations on your work and creativity. I have a cat named Paco who's a really loving companion since I lost my husband this past year. In my loneliness I've turned to knitting and believe me, it's been a lifesaver. I look forward to watching your podcasts again. Hugs from Canada. Lupe

The scenery there always reminds me of up here in SW Scotland. I wonder if they have the same geology? Lovely podcast - much needed calm at a time like this. Thank you x
It was recommended to me that I keep my first spinning and not knit it. I did that and years later open up the cookie tin (to avoid moths) and enjoy looking back.
Thank you for sharing your spinning, I too have been trying to learn and grasp the concept. I really appreciate your take on the matter.
I’m always happy to see when your vlog comes up in my feed and his time there was the addition of spinning.... stunning music
Hello Katie, you are such an inspiration to me and soothing my soul with your calm "conversation" at the moment. I am bingewatching the episodes I haven't seen until now! Thank you and all the best for your kitchen stand this weekend! I just put an order into your regular etsy store, didn't know about virtual wonder wool until today;)
This was a wery beautiful episode.Thank you .💕Stay safe.
Thank you for the wonderful podcast 🙏🏻☺️
For inspiration - look at the hashtag mondaymending. Love to see your walks and Jack of course!
Loved every minute of your Podcast. Be safe.
thank you! this was calming and lovely!
Hi, can I live in your podcast please? 😊 Your channel was recommended to me on KZread last week and since then I’m bingewatching all of your videos from the 1st podcast. They are so relaxing, inspiring and beautiful !
A moment of inspiration 💞💞💞 as well ❣️❣️❣️ Thank you 😙💞💞💞💞💞
Hi Katie, so nice to have you chatting to me via iPad while I knit my first in a long while colourwork. Mending, have you seen Boro and Sashiko Japanese mending? You tube. You are up to so many things I’m sure there is never a dull moment. I’ve started a Corona virus crochet blanket all shades of red and a quilt with crazy Kaffe fasset fabric. From my armchair I really enjoy the walks and how Jack determines which way. Take care
Thanks Katie for another enjoyable episode. I really liked your new addition- mending ! Its always one of those tasks I put off as long as possible ! Keep safe X
Such a feel goed podcast. Thank you for sharing and stay safe! XX
I new to waching your video.i just knitting dishcloft in cotton yarn. Love South Yorkshire
I loved watching you spin. I learned to spin on a wheel and I bought a spindle because I'm not ready to invest in my own. I sample knit, so knitting is my main hobby, and I am hesitant to take away that time with spinning (even though I love the process). I've struggled so much with drafting/spinning, and it has made me put away the gorgeous undyed BFL that I purchased. I think I will take your lead and draft separately, for 15 min a day, and see where I end up. Isn't it silly that I never thought about doing that until I saw you?
The stamps look lovely. I have the Jack one and find all kinds of reasons to us it.
Hi Katie. That's the first time I've heard Will's recordings with the other musicians, so thank you for using them in your podcast. Presumably everything is back to normal now with KZread and they recognise that you have permission to use this music? As always, it has been totally relaxing to watch you - and to see the beautiful Devon countryside. It was interesting watching you work with your drop spindle. I might be tempted one day......
re Mending: when I used to tailor trousers for my husband, on high-end trousers there is such a thing as a crotch shield (I'm not sure what it was actually called but that is what it is). Basically it's a semi-patch (which is only tacked on to the seams) which is double thickness and which when tacked in covers the relevant area on the inside. It is a little bit hard to describe without a diagram, but it can probably be looked up on Google. It might help with the problem next time.
Argh, you're making me wish I had more fibre to spin! (I have a teeny bit of Corriedale leftover from Tour de Fleece, but it's only about the size of a plum, maybe a small orange. I might try to spin it as thin as I can, just for something to do.)
Use the overlocker...they are scary to start with but once you get going you will love it, also your pattern should have indicated to double sew your seam in the crotch.

Thanks Julie. I did double sew that seam! And I will be brave and get to grips with my overlocker. I can't let it keep frightening me.
Are you drawn to Sashiko and Boro and other make do and mend techniques? Love this podcast by the way.
It's always so good to visit with you and Jack. Stay well.
oh, i’m so glad you’re spinning. when you’re ready to see where you can go with spinning, like socks, garments, different yarns, check out the wool n spinning podcast with rachel smith. i have been watching your podcast nightly for an hour before bed and spinning while watching! it has been my nightly therapy with everything going on in the world.

slow making is epitomized in Katie's podcast. It is surreal and lovely. I of course want to see Jack OFF LEASH just because I can see and feel him cavorting across the landscape. The landscape of Devon is exquisite. I long for Europe when I see the heath. Her spinning is a revelation for those of us who have spun for years. Thank you. I cannot wait to read her recommendation of On a Sunbeam...be well all. (Boise, IDaho high desert...USA)And thank you Katie!!!
