Your podcast was just what I needed today. My beautiful cat Alfie died just after midnight and we buried him in the garden at 6 o,clock this morning. He was nearly 20 and the bravest and most loving companion. All my knitting had a bit of Alfie knitted in because he was always on my lap. He particularly liked your podcasts because of your soothing voice and the lovely music. So thank you Katie. X

Oh so sorry to hear that. It’s very hard, I lost my cat a few months ago. Hopefully you can work through the grieving process with ease. Not without its down days, but knowing you gave him a fantastic 20 years will hopefully help.

What a wonderful memory and idea knowing Alfie is in all the things you made together. Very beautiful. 🥰💗
The cardigan is beautiful. Thank you for sharing it with us.
your sweaters are amazing....so creative! Jack is just so adorable and precious!!
How much I love this Katie Green. I just joined your world. Saying "hello" from New York City.
🌴☀️I LOVE THIS CHANNEL, it brings me such solace, peace & hope for humanity…I really mean that!!! Next month I’ll be a new Patreon, no need to pay now then again in 1 week from now🤦🏽♀️. Thanks for sharing about the guitarist, I’m quite the fangirl 🤭. For all you do, I have much gratitude☀️🌴
I think Jack would look handsome in his own lichen cardigan! He certainly looks cozy in yours!😊
I find myself smiling when I see a new episode pop up. It is amazingly relaxing and my smile stays with me. Thank you for all you share.

Thoroughly agreed🤭
What a marvellous idea....an imaginary Artist in Residency! I'll be using that in my textile work 😊. Beautiful podcast as always.
Katie, I love your lichen drawings! I also love your Lichen Fancier cardigan! Culottes are a good idea to go with your cardigan. I’m so glad that you have found scenic places to walk in your area❤️❤️
I just love this and your dedication to letting it be as it will be. ❤
New subbie here, can I just say one word - WOW!
Love watching your podcast you are so gifted and I will never stop watching thank you for doing it ❤❤❤❤
Oh I loved this episode. Your lichen drawings are amazing. Yes, you can create your own residency program, no matter how long it is. The lichen sweater is gorgeous. When you showed the yarn I thought it was white or cream when you were knitting but then I could see it was a green which makes sense for lichens. I once took a dye class where we dyed with lichens and that was fascinating. I had a project more than 20 years old. It was a Norwegian sweater. I had knit the main part of the sweater but not the sleeves. I would pull intjout if storage very few years and think I should knit those sleeves. I did that in 2021. I finally have this beautiful sweater to wear. I think if the sweater part has been half knitted I would have frogged it. So looking forward to seeing you in that finished cardigan.
Thank you Katie for your wonderful videos. I love to see what you’ve been creating & of course the gorgeous Jack! I’m usually found nowadays listening to Wills album Miniatures on a loop from Spotify while sitting knitting 🤣. Look forward to your next video. Take good care ❤️
Those waterfalls are just beautiful! This landscape is so different from where you used to love, but no less stunning in its own right! I love the work you are doing on your lichen studies. I hope you finish the Lichen Cardigan in time for your photo shoot.❤
Lichen is so beautiful. What beautiful drawings.
I love your style, Katie! The lichen study and cardi are beautiful!!! 🐑♥️🐑♥️🐑
Lichens and mosses fascinate me as well. I’ve even tried drawing some. You might enjoy reading Gathering Moss by Robin Wall. It’s excellent. Love your lichen sweater. Can’t wait to see it finished.
The Lichen sweater is stunning. I love the colors so much. Your videos are inspiring but also very relaxing. I wish they were more often. Strictly selfish on my part I know. Thank you so much!
I love your podcast. It is so beautiful. The lichen mini drawings are wonderful - they would make a fun washi tape. I also am so so excited for the lichen cardigan. The colors are perfect and the design so so fun.
Awesome
Oh Culottes~ those are on my list to sew. I have hunted for "the pattern" that will give me a pair similar to a knit commercial pair I had about a decade ago.... and have yet to find one, I may just wing it. Fingers crossed your self draft works!
Your sweater will be exquisite. Please finish and show us.
Love to see you again i didnt know you had moved house, i have as well ...from south wales back to scotland ,
Longest project left in hibernation? Squirrel filet crochet edged table cloth - started when single, finished when my daughter was in her mid twenties. A house (and garden) can definitely be called new for a year - new things will pop up in the garden for at least the first year! lovely podcast as usual Katie Thankyou
Hi Katie, what a wonderful episode and stunning landscape. You always inspire me to try out more than I normally do, more drawing, more knitting…just develop my creativity in small steps. Thank you so much! 🌟
Thank you very much for this calming épisode. It was just what I needed. I like your videos very much and I am always waiting for the next one. Greetings from Germany
Hi Katie, another wonderful and much appreciated episode. I adore the colours in your Lichen Fancier's cardigan; they put me in mind of a chocolate lime, which is a very positive thing as far as I am concerned! Thanks for all you put in to your videos ❤
Love your lichen drawing, it will be amazing! I've had a productive in hibernation 8 years, your jumper will be beautiful!
I really enjoyed seeing the waterfall on your walk and your lichen study is amazing
Just to add - I’m so glad to be supporting as a Patreon. You bring me such pleasure.
Katie: Love how you embrace our world! Your work is so inspiring. I love lichens too because they are intriguing as well as beautiful shades of mild colors that I find calming. They are texture that I can never resist touching one little edge. Probably should not touch. In college, one science class covered all the kingdoms and families, and so on. We had to complete a leaf collection. I got into this project because I love nature. My leaves had bark, seeds, flowers, etc with the identification cards. Some barks had lichens; I couldn’t resist. My barks were collected off the ground❤️
you beautiful human being! thank you so much for sharing!
I love your lichen vignettes! I, too, have a lichen covered stick I found sitting on my desk/altar space, different shades than yours. Your vignettes would make a great print on a green/grey/brown teatowel. Or maybe a minibook. Anyway, lovely to see you Katie, and lovely to see you shaping and enjoying different projects.
Hi from Sweden,. I really enjoyed to see the computerwork in action!! I had a >Kffe Fasset coat for many years in the wardrobe...10 years maybe, but when I got burnt out, hit the wall or whatever it is called these day,......I finished it finallly😅
Love the new sweater pattern. Also, you live in a beautiful place. Nice move:)
I always enjoy your lovely videos. Thank you:)
Thank you Katie you are sooo creative 🥰🫶👌✨🙏🏻🌸
Oh how wonderful. What a great idea to just tell yourself you’re having an artist retreat in your own home. I am going to give myself permission for that. Thanks so much for sharing. Just made me realise, I knitted 2 cowls and you inspired that, so double thanks. 😊🌸🎉
Thank you Katie for your beautiful Vlog xx
First time viewer and I am hooked! Thank you for such a Beautiful and Thoughtful collection!
I love your Artist in Residence project - beautiful work - I am sure they will bring 100 joys to many. Culottes - wow that's a great idea - I made a whole load in the 80's and loved wearing them. My favourite looked like a skirt and had essentially a box pleat that ran into the gusset...all good fun and so easy to wear. Recently I referenced you in my Steeking video - that's how I found you - I broke the rules and steeked superwash wool - havent blocked it yet...you are a very inspiring artist thank you .
I hope the culottes work out. Your little drawing of them was super cute. 🤩
Katie. What a fabulous episode. I have had a fascination with lichen for some time and have some amazing photos from walks and hikes. … Look forward to your culotte adventures and seeing how it turns out. I think this is a lovely idea for your gorgeous lichen sweater. Many Blessings and thank you!!
Oh Katie they are beautiful. Would you consider graphing them up into a cross stitch pattern. They’d be so lovely to stitch. Blessing Gail. 🇦🇺
A moment of peaceful creativeness. Lichen is beautiful. We see it all over in the woods where our woodland cottage is located. Your drawings to study lichen are amazing. 🧶
So interesting !! WILL you add any colour ? Look forward to each of your posts . Love little Jack 🇨🇦❤️
🍀
I really thought when you moved I would miss your walks on Dartmoor but the countryside in the Brecon Beacons( please forgive me for not learning the Welsh name yet) is absolutely stunning. It looks like Jack is happy walking there too! Your Lichen cardigan is so beautiful and I think when finished it will be fabulous. Take care and an extra treat for dear Jack xx
I love all the projects you've been sharing with us. You're a hub of talent and inspiration! May I ask you what's the breed of your lovely dog? I know he's a terrier of some sort, but can't say which one exactly...Thank you!
I have to admit I am rather saddened and surprised that you took that stick inside with lichen living on it. Did you not realise that some lichen, if not all, would die inside? Lichen have to be treated with extreme care. Was the stick kept in a terrarium, misted regularly to keep the humidity near 50% and with several hours of indirect sunlight every day? Probably not judging from you saying you put it back outside when the weather was damp. I am rather disappointed that you are quite happy to watch, and document in your drawings, the slow death of the lichen. Do you really think your "observational project" is worth the killing of the subject?
