No, you can’t. It takes prolonged exposure with your tongue to take effect. If you chew the pill up and swallow it quickly it will do nothing. It only works if you let the pill dissolve over a long period of time.

To get the full effect of the miraculin experience, you should taste everything before taking the mberry and then afterwards to see what's different. The point is to allow the mberry to slowly dissolve & coat your tongue for a few minutes. Things I like to try are pineapple, strawberry, lime, lemon, and cheese.

Guga, I have two experiments for you to try!!! 1.) Cook an eye round confit. I have a feeling if you confit it super low and slow, then give it a crust with the torch, it will finally be the eye round steak that you’ve been dreaming of. 2.) Asafoetida infused oil or ghee to baste a steak. It’s a resin spice from India used to give food a allium flavor. You have to let it cook in fat before using it though or else it will overpower your food. Also, beware of the quantity- a little goes a LONG way. Maybe compare it to a garlic basting?

I wish this stuff worked better for me. We tried it a couple years ago and all it did to me was make sour things a little less sour, sweet things a little less sweet, and hot things less hot. For me it just kind of dulled my taste buds, for lack of a better explanation. With my wife, OTOH, it completely changed her perception 180 degrees. Sweet became bitter, bitter became sweet, and spicy foods were completely neutralized.

This berry, the Miracle Berry, is also found naturally in Philippines 🇵🇭. If you chew a FRESH berry instead of the pill, the effect is stronger. You can make new recipes based on new taste. To do that, you'll need to taste with miracle berries your ingredients before using them.

Man, this experiment was hilarious! I have to try it. I have a suggestion for your dry age experiments: allioli! I don't know if this is the same recipe as Italian aioli, the catalan way is to emulsify a paste made of garlic and lemon with oil and a little bit of salt (no egg intended!). You can try to dry age some nice steak! Best wishes from Barcelona!

There's a reason why people may have had different results. I got these a few years back. You're supposed to let the pill dissolve on your tongue. If you chew it, it's less effective, sometimes not effective at all.

You should try the German method of making roast beef called Sauerbraten, which involves soaking tough beef in a red wine marinade for a whole week! I tried it before and it worked well, but I would like to see your take on it, and possibly improve it

hey guga you should try dry aging something in pure capsaicin crystal, liquid smoke, and mango. i think it be really good. and hey maybe even try adding this just for the fun and experiementqtion of it. i wonder if the berry can make pure capsaicin sweet flavor as many claim it doesnt have a flavor just heat.

You should try crushing the pills and use it as a seasoning for steak. After your video I thought it would be interesting and I had both the pills and a steak, so I tried it myself. It made the steak slightly sweet, and the flavor was almost like bacon. You could also try the crushed pills in a steak butter. Great video as always

Hi Guga ! You always use garlic powder to season your steak, but I was wondering if it would not be better to use other garlic seasoning like fresh garlic, garlic paste or some kind of garlic compound better ? Would you make a video about testing different kind of garlic seasoning to find out the best way ? Love you

Garlic can burn at high heat, so over a searing flame it would likely not be great, the powder doesn't really have the same issue. Slow cooking, (like on his sous vide everything channel) or when smoking, would be when that's more of an option.

After watching your videos, I have three requests for future videos: - Please try some other cattle breeds than wagyu and American beef. - How do you clean all your pans and other cooking ustensils so they continue to be so shiny ? - Please cook a foie gras in a terrine using sous vide. And yes I'll repeat those requests often. ;)
