Why don't americans like veggies in their barbecues? Salads are an essencial part in brazilian churrasco... Not eating veggies is being picky, which is very childish (in our culture, I mean no offense to y'all). I'd really want to understand such dislike for green in dishes.

Angel’s attitude towards vegetables reminds me so much of my ADD-ODD, child who will literally no joke starve himself rather than try new foods. And if he does get sick of the very few items he consumes and tries and likes something new, it has to be on his terms or it won’t happen again. The fact that you not only got him to try it but also admit it wasn’t so bad is quite the achievement from my perspective. Great job Ethan.

That behavior actually sounds more like ASD. I have that same issue with certain textures of food. The are completely disgusting texture-wise though the taste is quite good. It feels like s physical reaction to the texture instead of an opinion preference. The texture of onions almost makes me hurl. If it's cooked correctly, I love them, like certain fried onion rings or onion straws. Grilled or steamed and I can't handle it. To be subject to something like that is a strange thing that I have considered a fair bit. We are a strange species. LOL

Sprouts used to be bitter 40 years ago but new sprouts are not because it's been breed out. So lots of people passed on the idea that sprouts and veggies are horrible, and won't try then now. My MIL and FIL once shared a single portion of vegetables for dinner with each other, all week when I stayed with them. I was mortified as they have so many health issues also. I grew up in an Indian household so we had at least 2 portions every single meal and often ate 9 different types of veggies in a single meal, and veggies were often the star of the show.

We only see them eating a few bites of steak and the super heavy sides each video, but I'm sure in their off-camera lives they have a more balanced diet. People don't come to a channel like this expecting health-conscious meals so they play up the "only fatty meat all the time" angle because that's what the people want to see. I think a lot of it is them being themselves to an extent, but part of it is 100% playing a character.

A former coworker used to call Brussel Sprouts "aborted cabbage fetuses". I love them a lot, cooked with bacon (like Ethan did with the broccoli), add some soy sauce, garlic and ginger. One other suggestion is to preboil the brussel sprouts with salt and sugar, both of which help eliminate the bitter edge. Also, try the carrots with an orange and ginger glaze. Now to really have some fun with Angel... dandelion greens.

@Morgan McAllister well, to be fair, it's just that they didn't want me to know they were actually called Brussel Sprouts because it was always stereotypical for kids to hate Brussel sprouts. He didn't like the extra crunch of the carrots and he didn't like the softness of the brussel sprouts. He is acting like a child, in my opinion. Definitely not the sole cause but a diet like that won't help anything once you have problems. The protein from the meat will cause it to progress faster (until you're on dialysis. Then you actually need it), the lack of vitamins means vital protection is lacking, and the sugar and added phosphorus in the Pepsi aren't doing any favors either. Hopefully dude can get his life around. I have a genetic illness that caused kidney failure and am on dialysis. And the only one of those foods you can still have once your kidneys fail is the meat. I like the fact that Angel was straight up honest despite the guy preparing the veggies being there. I do think Angel should push himself to eat healthier as he gets older...your body will appreciate your sacrifice Angel. You won't be young forever and the unhealthy foods that we enjoy from a young age actually turn against your body as we age, so you may want to give veggies and other healthy foods a try from time to time pal. Blessings to all, once again Guga thanks for the good content and the laughs you bring to us brother, as well as those contributing behind the scenes to make this happen. One love! 👍

Angle's mom is the one to thank for creating such a snobby eater. You have to remember that picky eaters aren't born that way, they are created...😮‍💨

Mmmm but some are though. It's not uncommon for neurodivergent people to have texture or taste processing problems with certain foods, or their digestive system reacts horribly to the food. I can't have lamb, I immediately end up spitting it out like, I want to like it but I can't, and my partner can't have a vast majority of fruits because he gets really nauseated, for example.

I love all these veggies. Steamed Brussels sprouts lightly salted and with some melted butter is so good

Crispy brussel sprouts with balsamic glaze are so good. I'd try that next time, but like really crisp out the sprouts so they're not mushy at all.
